Bai Longtian just looked in their direction, nodded, and went back to looking at whatever it was he was gazing at.
Shen Tianyu and Rong Jian walked up to the stall to see what they were looking at so intently. Their gazes seemed to have been fixed on a wooden box the size of an adult human's head. There was a pure white light emitting from a hole in the middle of the surface facing them. The light slowly expanded into a square screen that displayed a forest scenery. After a few moments, the forest faded away and was replaced by a small village. Behind the box, inside the stall, was a male student whose hand seemed to be inside the box with his eyes closed in concentration. There was a female student standing next to him, who would look over nervously from time to time as she interacted with other customers concerning their other wares.
"Does Wifey, want it?" The voice beside her ear jolted her out of her thoughts. She peeled her eyes away from the fascination that was the projectors fueled by spiritual energy and shook her head with a nostalgic smile.
"No, it's okay. Besides, it looks like it's the main attraction for this stall to sell their wares so it's better to let them keep it." Scattered around the stall table were various other interesting knick knacks, which was being sold by the female student. Seeing as they placed such an invention here, whether these youngsters made it or not, the other objects should also be intersting. Shen Tianyu floated over to the other side of the stall, passing by Bai Yaoxuan who had been standing beside Ningwu Liushan to gaze at the attraction. Bai Yaoxuan felt her pass by and snapped out of her daze, pulling her sleeves. Shen Tianyu paused her steps and leaned her ear towards her.
"Lingling, lingling, it's a projector!" Bai Yaoxuan shouted in a whisper, clenching her fists with a triumphant smile on her face from who-knows-where.
"Yes, but it looks like that's the extent of such technology in this world for now. Don't expect smartphones or laptops any time soon." Shen Tianyu whispered back calmly, her expression leaking nothing.
"I know that... you didn't have to be such a killjoy..." Bai Yaoxuan pouted. She was excited she finally saw something familiar from her old world but the other women just had to remind her of the convenience of not needing to leave her house and still life a good life.
"It is interesting that someone thought something liek this up, though it'll probbaly be scorned in it's inefficiency and lack of secrecy as compared to Jade Slips. I'm going to look att what other things they have and ask who made it, you coming?" Shen Tianyu raised her eyebrow at the other, who nodded her headn and followed along. Rong Jian who had been behind them didn't comment on the exchange and followed along as well.
"Ah, hello! Is there anything you that catches your eye here?" The female student warmly greeted them even as she was tending to the other people crowding their stall.
"Oh, I'm just here to look around." Shen Tianyu smiled back. The female student acknowledged it and went back to answering some questions from potential customers.
Upon closer look, the stall table was indeed filled with all kinds of random things. There were cultivation related objects like Spirit Daisies, which grow near places with plentiful natural spiritual power and contains some themselves which they have absorbed from their surroundings. The Spirit Daisies were even carefully planted in a pot with soil to keep them as fresh as possible. There was a stack of Assembling Soul Talismans, which can keep one's wits about them in abnormal situations like a Siren song or some kind of hallucinogenic poisons. Though it's effectiveness inside arrays depends on the abilities of both it's Scripter and the user. Then, there was the things only mildly useful like a paper talisman that one can channel their spiritual power into and form a connection. The paper talisman can then travel inside places a human couldn't fit or in enemy territory with the user being able to see everything the moving talisman does. Lastly, came the truly useless things one would only buy for fun, such as the talisman that claims to turn water into the finest wine and a talisman that can make a stringed instrument play itself.
