The next day early in the morning, Ye Zhaojue led Xingzhi and the accompanying fellows to leave Chengxi.
And the delegation accompanying Luoyan to the wedding party escorted by Ye Zhaojue left Chengxi just like when they came.
There was a sensation when they came, but now they left quietly.
The party left the city ten li, and on the way there were no spies of Jun Wuhen stalking them. Ye Zhaojue called a stop and turned to look the path they took when they came, and all sorts of feelings poured into his mind.
“You have escorted me by ten li, aren’t you afraid of Aoxue knowing this?” Ye Zhaojue looked up, dismounted, and said to the two men in front.
The two men were both dressed in black, and the man who took the lead wore a mask made of black jade. His black hair sketched graceful arcs, and the sleeve of gilt edge made beautiful ripples in the wind.
“Uncle is leaving, and it doesn’t make sense that I, as the nephew, don’t escort ten li.” There came the man’s deep husky voice, with the aroma of old wine that people feel intoxicated with.
“Well, you should go back quickly, in case Aoxue worries about you when she cannot find you!” Ye Zhaojue said casually with his lips curling up.
Jun Yeyan noticed tiny change of Ye Zhaojue’s facial expression and finally figured out that the proud characteristic of his Aoxue is inherited from her uncle.
“I know. Uncle, wish you a good journey and what is best is bringing back a baby son.” Jun Yeyan said and nodded, and couldn’t help being smug and complacent when he thought of how worried Bai Aoxue is when she couldn’t find him.
“Hey, boy, stop gabbling! Now, go back. It is already so far.” Ye Zhaojue said embarrassedly and his resolute face turned to fishy dark red.
Jun Yeyan stepped aside and made way for Ye Zhaojue, and Zhao followed Jun Yeyan.
“I’ll take good care of Aoxue.” Jun Yeyan blurted out, looking at Ye Zhaojue.
Apparently, Ye Zhaojue didn’t expect Jun Yeyan would say that, and after a moment of pausing, he smiled, nodded and turned around.
But something seemed to come to Ye Zhaojue’s mind, so he turned around again, looking at Jun Yeyan, and said, “There is something that I have wanted to give Aoxue for a long time, but I always forget. Now you could give it to her for me.”
Saying this, he took out a small delicate brocade box from his chest and gave it to Jun Yeyan.
Jun Yeyan took over the box, looking at Ye Zhaojue bewilderingly.
“This bracelet was Aoxue’s mother’s favorite in her lifetime, but we were poor back then, and couldn’t afford such an expensive bracelet, I had always remembered it, and I bought it when I saved enough money. I intended to give the bracelet to Wanqing, but I never had the chance. Wanqing had never worn the bracelet until she died. Now, I will give it to Aoxue.” Ye Zhaojue said with a sigh.
He still couldn’t move on from the past, though he wasn’t as sad as before.
Jun Yeyan felt the brocade box weighs a thousand tons after he heard Ye Zhaojue’s words.
“I’ll give it to Aoxue in person, and I think she will cherish it.” Jun Yeyan nodded seriously, and put the box in his sleeve.
Seeing this, Ye Zhaojue finished talking. He turned around quickly and mounted without hesitation.
The party moved on, neat and forceful, which was like a sword ready to be drawn at any moment to give a blitz attack to the enemy.
Zhao looked at the party, sighed with emotion, “Ye Zhaojue is the one I respect the most among few people. He is brave and good at fighting, and values friendship beyond everything. It is not easy for him to manage the party in order.”
Jun Yeyan nodded while listening to Zhao, and said, “Of course, otherwise he will not be the uncle that Aoxue respects.”
He turned around and left after done talking.
Zhao totally agreed with Jun Yeyan. After all, he has witnessed how tough his princess was.
Bai Aoxue woke up in the dawn, but Mumian and others were still in sleep, so she didn’t wake up them. Wenxi and Hongxiu had not been back from the palace, and she expected news to come at noon.
Bai Aoxue was not worried about this. What she worried most was the poisons in Jun Yeyan’s body.
Looking at the bright blue sky through the window, Bai Aoxue murmured, “My uncle must have left.” And she closed her eyes in pity.
“Although uncle left, there is still me to be with you.” Said a light male’s voice full of ardent love in her ear.
Surprisingly, Bai Aoxue opened her eyes which were as clear as glaze, looking at the elegant man standing near at hand.
“How come you are here?” Bai Aoxue struggled to get up from the bed with her arms.
Jun Yeyan stepped forward instantly to hold Bai Aoxue, and considerately put several soft pillows behind her back.
“I escorted uncle out of the city,” Jun Yeyan said to Bai Aoxue honestly.
Bai Aoxue was a little surprised, but she was much more bewildered.
She didn’t expect Jun Yeyan to escort her uncle, not to mention he was in such bad health. He risked his life to do so.
“Why didn’t you call me to escort uncle together?” Bai Aoxue asked quietly, moved her eye sight off Jun Yeyan.
Jun Yeyan noticed that Bai Aoxue wore a sullen look. He put a smile on his face, from which the mask had already been removed and his matchless beauty, which was so dazzling, was revealed.
“Bumping on the road is not good for you now. You haven’t recovered, and I don’t want you to be hurt.” Jun Yeyan said while rubbing Bai Aoxue’s head.
Bai Aoxue didn’t say any more, thinking that she was too narrow-minded to be angry with him just now.
“Let’s go to live in the yard, shall we? And I think Jun Wuhen will send someone here at noon.” Bai Aoxue said slowly, looking at Jun Yeyan. Although she liked bamboo yard, she didn’t want any one unrelated to damage everything in the bamboo yard.
“Um, you take a rest and then we will be back there.” Jun Yeyan said softly in a voice that sounded like a breeze, and combed Bai Aoxue’s hair on the temples.
Bai Aoxue was shy and turned her face so that Jun Yeyan would not see the blush on her face.
Jun Yeyan noticed this subtle behavior of Bai Aoxue. He smiled, which made Bai Aoxue blush to the ears, and this appearance of her was so charming in the eyes of Jun Yeyan.
All of a sudden, Jun Yeyan held Bai Aoxue in his arms so softly that he did not hurt her wound.
Bai Aoxue was scared by Jun Yeyan’s behavior, but instead of struggling, she leaned on Jun Yeyan’s chest quietly, feeling his heart beat which gave her a sense of safety.
There was a light fragrance of sandalwood incense, mingled with the aroma of bamboo. It lingered around Bai Aoxue’s nostrils, and made her calm down.
“Aoxue, I’m really happy.” Jun Yeyan touched Bai Aoxue’s soft hair gently and slowly, with the tenderness and cherishing that he himself had never realized.
“Yes…” Bai Aoxue said softly with her eyes narrowed. She was just like a satisfied cat which was overwhelmingly arrogant.
Jun Yeyan smiled and narrowed his phoenix eyes. He held Bai Aoxue tightly, looking upon Bai Aoxue who was shy with a blush on her face.
Bai Aoxue’s eyelashes were not long, but curled and bushy, so they could stop the sunlight and form a shadow under them, which made her eyes unbelievably clear and bright.
Her lips closed lightly, in a shape of a tough arc. She bit her lips lightly because of shyness, and the thin lips in a light color were like polished pearls which were unbelievably perfect and made any man who saw them can hardly restrain the urge of kissing them.
With Bai Aoxue, who was so beautiful, in his arms, Jun Yeyan couldn’t suppress the idea in his heart, the idea that he had embraced and desperately wanted to realize since a long time ago.
He could restrain the idea in the past, but now he didn’t want to suppress himself any more. He knew what was in his mind and what he really wanted.
“Aoxue…” Jun Yeyan said slowly in a husky voice which was lethally magnetic.
“What?” Bai Aoxue murmured shyly. She didn’t look up.
“Look at me,” Jun Yeyan ordered, or desperately pleaded in a voice with unique attraction.
Bai Aoxue couldn’t help looking up and her eyes got contact with Jun Yeyan’s, which were as black as dark night, attractive and bewitching.
Bai Aoxue stared without a move.
Jun Yeyan smiled obsessively, looking at Bai Aoxue.
And he put the idea in his mind into practice without saying anything.
He held Bai Aoxue’s hands tightly, lowered his head to approach Bai Aoxue’s lily-white cheeks.
They were getting so close that Jun Yeyan could clearly count the fine hair on Bai Aoxue’s cheeks. The sunshine shattered on the trees and shadow of trees lingered on.
Bai Aoxue was a little bit nervous and she held her breath. She was absolutely foolish if she didn’t figure out what Jun Yeyan wanted to do to her, but to her surprise, she didn’t want to push him away.
Bai Aoxue closed her eyes tightly, and clenched her hands nervously.
Her eyelashes fluttered and she breathed lightly.
Seeing such reaction of Bai Aoxue, Jun Yeyan was clear that she would not reject him, and without any hesitation, he intended to kiss the lips that he had desperately desired for so long.
That was also a territory which he had desired to possess and label his tag since a long time ago.
At the moment that their lips almost touched, there came a scream at the door of the room.
“Ah, Miss! Your Highness!”
Mumian covered her mouth, and watched the two, shocked.
Hearing Mumian’s voice, Bai Aoxue quickly pushed Jun Yeyan away, and grabbed the soft quilt on bed to cover her face.
While Jun Yeyan had already put on the mask on the edge of the bed the moment Bai Aoxue pushed him away, and covered the unique beautiful face which had been seen only by Bai Aoxue.
Mumian regretted the fuss she had made. In such a situation, she should have pretended she didn’t see anything and went away.
Mumian knocked her head hardly, and looked up into the pair of almond-shaped eyes which were like raging fire.
Mumian couldn’t help quivering, and cowardly, she said, “I’m so sorry, Your Highness, it’s not my intention to interrupt you on purpose. It was my fault. I didn’t figure out the situation. Next time, I will walk away quietly so as not to interrupt you.”
Hearing Mumian’s words, Jun Yeyan’s mouth jerked hardly, and the rage was gone.
He turned to look at Bai Aoxue, who was still hiding in the quilt. Jun Yeyan couldn’t help smiling, for he didn’t expect Bai Aoxue could be so shy. She had always been proud and arrogant.
She was so cute…
“Aoxue, stop hiding, you will suffocate,” Jun Yeyan dragged the quilt gently.
Bai Aoxue grabbed the quilt hardly and would not loosen a little.
Ok, let her be an ostrich.
When Jun Yeyan wanted to persuade Bai Aoxue a little more, there came a slim figure outside of the bamboo room.
