Chapter 102 - MISCONCEPTION

They found out that the slave drugged Datu before copulating and bearing his child. She was condemned and hated by everyone on the banwa, including her daughter. They suffered and Datu turned a blind eye.

The slave died unjustly, after that, Ara died. Then now, his daughter, Yanar died too. He believes that he was being punished by the heavens since he committed hideous crimes from the past. Ara had always told him that, when the time comes, he would suffer from a great loss. He laughed about it before, he did not know that the great loss she meant was her and their daughter.

If only he knew…

But the true reason for his misery was his other daughter, Tala. Tala had misunderstood the past. It was not the wife of the Datu who killed her mother but was the angry villagers who hated them for ruining the epitome of the harmonious family of Datu Pita.

Ara did not hate them, rather, she was protecting them. Her daughter did not learn from her to bully Tala. The original hated Tala herself because Ara favored her. She was jealous that Tala was receiving the attention and care that was only meant for her. This was the truth but no one could re-tell it. Dead tell no tales after all.

The misconception of one to another resulted in the worst-case scenario. If only Datu Pita was half-good to the slave and Tala. Will the outcome stay the same?

Yanarym, who knew the whole plot twist in this story, had no care of what the female lead was thinking or whatever. She was in a bad mood realizing that she couldn't leave this world until the ending of the story. Because that was the climax of this book, where Tala will conspire with Achis and hold her rebellion to the banwa of her father.

She had also heard what happened to the banwa's ruler; she was found dead and Datu Pita was enraged at Tala's confession of killing both of his beloved wife and cherished daughter, blah-blah-blah. Yanarym had no concerns for the recent storyline, she just had to make sure that she could stop Tala from destroying the village. To be able to accomplish that, she had to master her swordsmanship.

But her mood and enthusiasm were ruined, Achis, this bastard Datu still doesn't want to teach her swords! She has to learn swords! Although daggers are cool and all, what she needed to complete was to learn swords! That is her task!

Everything, everything! Was not going well on accords! She wanted to leave here early but it seems like she had to stay longer than anticipated. She needed to learn the swords but Achis was hindering her. She also needs to prepare to counter Tala and here she was, laying on the bed rolling around. What else? She was bored and too lazy to do anything! How annoying -- she thought then scoffed.

Achis who was watching her raised his brow seeing that she's getting grumpy and grumpier day by day. How troublesome… he thought and smiled.

It's been a month, Achis left to inspect his land, then he received an invitation to attend the burial ceremony for the dead daughter of Datu Pita. Although he knew that it was almost impossible for Yanarym to hear the news he still rushed to her location.

Arriving, he saw her groaning and sighing on the bed. She was rolling to her sheets and he approached her with no warning. She saw him and didn't bother greeting him. She didn't even flinch upon seeing him intruding into her room. In his expectation, she should be flustered. In reality, she was not like any other woman who would fret or get agitated by his presence.

"Why are you sulking again?" Achis asked upon sitting on the bottom of the bed. She deliberately ignored him and scowled, as if she was intending to make him know that she was very displeased with something he had done. "Rym, I get it that you are sulking to get my attention. Here's my attention, tell me." She turned her back on him.

"What's the use, you won't listen anyway," she mumbled grumpily.

"If you don't tell me, I won't know. How do you know I'm not going to listen to you?" He said patiently, she kept her back on him. "Rym, I'm getting annoyed."

"I don't want to learn daggers anymore! I want to yield swords!" She refuted sitting down on her bed. Crossing her arms she glared at him. "It's been a month, Achis! When are you going to teach me swords?"

"It's just a month, don't get too excited." He replied and peered at her frowning expression. Her obnoxious temperament doesn't surprise him anymore. Taming her was pleasing as well.

"Then, how long am I supposed to stay here?" She creased her brows heeding what he answered. Achis paused for a moment and grinned at her.

"I suppose you can stay here forever." He said nonchalantly while suppressing the desire hidden in his eyes that was visible to Yanarym's. She did not respond to him, instead, she looked at him blankly. "It was a joke."

"I don't like that joke." She knew that Achis was already aware of her identity. Yet, he was pretending that he didn't know. The condition could be nullified if he brings her back home to have the merits that he was so eager to gain from Datu Pita.

For what really, he likes her. Only a stupid and numb person would not be aware of it. He even faked her death and killed an actual person to be her substitute. Of course, he did everything without her knowledge.

However, she has Guide-sama to report to her everything that was going on.

"I know," Achis replied, "But it took years for you to learn sword technique.." He tried to keep his hands to himself but he wanted to touch her so badly.
