Chapter 164 - DESERVE

"Baba, don't worry about me. I will protect you and this banwa that Iloy once had protected!" She exclaimed heroically and sneezed again. Datu Pita couldn't help but admire his adorable daughter. It's like Ara's version before. Holding her sword uptight, protecting the hometown she loves.

"Alright, just be alive." He told her and looked at Maki, "Protect her well." Maki nodded in agreement.

"You sneeze so much, even dogs don't get cold in summer," Maki commented on seeing her sneeze again.

"Just never mind me… achoo!" She sniffs and scratches her nose starting to get red. Maki prevented his lips from forming a smile looking at her charming face. "And focus on the battle!" She continued that he giggled at her.

The warships that Lapil and Achis were not able to take down landed one by one on the shore. Seeing this, Datu Pita raised his kampilan.

"READY THE ARROWS AND SPEARS!" The standby long-range fighters stretched their arms and waited for the command. "FIRE UP THE TORCHES!" On the edge of the arrow, there was a fabric wrapped on it and was drenched on flammable material. Those who held the torches lit up the arrows, "FIRE!" As the Datu yelled, they shot on the karaoke, the warships of the enemies.

As the ship was being burned to ashes, Datu raised his sword once more. "SUGOD!" Datu Pita launched an attack and everyone screamed as they ran to meet the enemy.

Yanarym was in adrenaline, she had never fought before, and here she was swaying her sword against men. She never dreamt of something like this but her eyes are beaming with exhilaration. The months she had spent on learning swords were all worthy. On her side, Maki protected her with all his might, but he never hindered her from fighting. He was proud to see her happy and strong that could match up with these barbaric men. After all, she is his Bai.

On the puod of Rajah, Lapil was pointing a sword at his father's neck. Rajah Basi was glaring at his son but Lapil just responded to him with a smile.

"HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO ME LAPIL!" He screamed loudly but his movement made a scrape on his neck because of the sharpness of Lapil's blade.

"Rajah… no, Baba, I'm sorry but I have to do this. The queen had ordered me to take you down, I have no choice." He said to him softly, like a good son. Rajah Basi was more infuriated, seeing his own son mocking him, while he kneels in front of him? This is ridiculous!

"The queen? Your mother? HAH! THAT MOTHER OF YOURS IS NOTHING BUT A DECORATION! DO YOU REMEMBER THOSE YEARS SHE DID NOT EVEN CARE ABOUT YOUR BATTERED YOUNG SELF?! NOW YOU PROTECT HER?!"

"Baba, you're wrong." Lapil shook his head and sighed. "That's not the queen I am talking about. Iloy is not my queen."

"...who?"

"Of course, it's my future wife, the future Hara."

"T-tala?"

"No, are you stupid? I have not considered that woman as my bride. Yanar is the only one for me." He creased his brows and smiled upon mentioning Yanarym's name. "My future Hara."

"What? The dead daughter of Pita?"

"I see, did your woman not tell you that Yanar is alive? But now, you know, right?" Lapil smiled angelically. Rajah Basi was bewildered. He couldn't follow anything. His son, who had never defied him, was pointing a sword at his neck, ready to kill him every time with a seraphic smile on his face.

His woman, Tala, that's right. As long as Tala is alive and had their warriors successfully raid Pita's banwa they still win.

"Ginoo, we found Hara Kaliya jailed! We had released her already."

"Lapil, we caught the Bai." From behind the Rajah heard a thud, "She was struggling so much, we had no choice but to make her sleep." Tatop said.

Lapil signaled the two to tie the Rajah too, so they did. "HOW DARE YOU! WAKAN! TATOP!"

"TALA! TALA! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" He screamed at his young lover who was unconscious on the wooden floor.

"LET ME GO YOU, TRAITORS! WAKAN! LAPIL! TATOP! YOU WILL FACE RETRIBUTION!" He struggled to break free but was only fastened to the rope.

"Pardon us Rajah, but our loyalty is for the Ginoo." After that he was tied up Lapil put down his sword and looked around. It was an easy victory, he hoped that Yanarym was safe and would triumph in her battle too.

"Lapil!" The Hara yelled and ran to his side. "I'm glad you came!"

"Iloy, I'm glad you are safe. Yanar wouldn't be happy if you died here." Hara Kaliya sighed her apathetic son surely will never be worried for her. However, that was not her concern.

"Hand me over your kampilan son. Let me borrow it for a moment." Lapil raised his brow and gave it to her.

"We should hurry back to the banwa. I'm worried about Yanarym." Achis intercepted, killing the last one standing. Only the Rajah remained alive and Tala.

"Wait a minute, I have to finish something here." The Hara said and took the cup of water that was on the small table outside and threw it to Tala's face that caused her to be conscious again. She coughed and tried to stand up but was kicked down by the Hara.

"KALIYA! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" The Rajah saw everything was anxious by the Hara's sword pointed at Tala "LAPIL! TAKE THAT SWORD AWAY FROM YOUR MOTHER!" Lapil shrugged his shoulder.

They all knew what Hara Kaliya was about to do, and he wouldn't stop her. It's better than making Yanarym do the task, it will just make his princess dirtied her hand.

"This is what you deserved, slut." Tala's eyes widened and before she could do anything her neck was pierced by the sword. Her blood splattered all around the floor.. The Rajah turned pale, he lost blood all over his face.
