Chapter 168 - SHOT

The original, her mother, father, older brother, and baby brother were there at the school. 

They were having a lot of fun. The parents were watching the eldest son performing on the stage. At that moment, the original was out of focus and full of energy. Then, she let go of her mother's hand, ran through the crowd, just to watch the cotton candy man make the cotton candy. When the mother noticed that she lost her grip on her daughter's hand. Everything was too late.

The mother of the original was depressed when her daughter was kidnapped. After handling the ransom money to the kidnappers, her daughter never came back. Sending only her hair back home then was given to another group of a syndicate to make use of her. They made the original a beggar, transporting her to the foreign country to ask for money from people along the street from sunrise until sunset in exchange for food in the night. 

While the original suffered, her family adopted a girl, who acts and talks like her. At that time, both of the girls were ten years old. The mother was no longer searching for the original but the brothers didn't accept the adopted child replacing their sister. 

That child was the protagonist in this world. The novel didn't center on the female lead's adoptive family, it was more on her adventures, action, and thrilling events with the male lead when she became an adult.

The original, on the other hand, was like a cameo role for the intersection of how the male lead and female lead met through an emotional and unfortunate setting. In short, her life, the original's life in exchange for the remarkable day for the protagonists' love story.

Original returned to the family after eleven years of being away from home, she was sixteen. By that time, she was awkward with them. Everything was so blurry as she tried to recall her childhood. She experienced so much hardship that she can't rest assured of being the same way as before. She treated her family like strangers because didn't know how to be like it was before. In addition to that, the mother died after years of the time she was abducted.

So, no one was sure how to fix their awkward relationship. Her eldest brother treated her nicely but also there was a wall between them. The youngest treats her like a friend not as a sister. She felt so strange that she was jealous of how they treated the adopted sister like a real family. The original's father was always away from home since his wife's death but made sure to treat his children with utmost care. 

They met and took vacation abroad, not in the house. He spoiled the original so much, giving her money, freedom, and time. Because of guilt not being able to save her before from the abductors and also she resembles his wife so much. She was like a photocopy of his wife's facial features. Making him miss his wife more and love his real daughter more but also don't want to see her at the same time. 

It's strange, for the original, everything was so different. She rebelled, finding the gap in her heart to be filled. Going to clubs, changing boyfriends from one to another, making out in the dark, and ignoring her family. She fought with the eldest and the gap became bigger. She was lonely. 

She started blaming the protagonist for her ruined expectations from her family. Cailly was a good girl, studying hard, responsible, sweet, loving, caring, and never breaking rules. Kind of kid who was once the original's personality and attitude but experience made her change her values, view, and life to survive. 

She couldn't blame her own, because once she does, she'll be broken- shattering into pieces. When they turned 18, she brought Cailly, the protagonist, into a pub. She wanted to ruin her and make her a bad girl like she was. Cailly, the sweet and innocent sister, did go with the original to the pub. Only later just to be kidnapped. 

That was not in the original's plan. She only wanted to make Cailly drunk until she passed out then send her back home. She didn't know that they would get kidnapped in the middle of the operation. Woke up in a small room with a single wooden bed, it had been almost a week that they've been locked up. 

The kidnappers tried to touch Cailly, they cannot touch the original for the reason of she was the real daughter of the well-known business tycoon and Cailly was not. The original knew what the kidnappers were planning and protected Cailly. 

She admitted all her wrongdoings and blamed everything on herself. She liked Cailly because she treated her like a sister but she treated her like an enemy. She realizes everything that she had done wrong and she wanted to make it right. 

She remembered the boy who helped her escape from the syndicates. He asked her to promise him that after she lives her life to the fullest, she'll wait for him and he'll look for her, then they will marry each other, have a happy and fulfilling life. Yet, here she was, wasting her life away and chucking somebody else's life. 

She made a decision and she regretted it, she brought Cailly into that mess and she had to get her out of there too. She had to do the only thing to make everything right. Even if it cost her life. If she survived, she wanted to graduate from her college degree with everyone in her family on her side. Also, she'll wait for that boy, who saved her life back then. If she'll be alive.

Protecting Cailly from the bastard kidnapper, he got so mad for interrupting his business to the girl he wanted to r-ape.. The original tried her best to fight the man but she was shot.
