Those fictitious stories could take Yanarym away from reality before, from her past life. Everyone needs a getaway, even if it's just imagination or an illusion. And that was probably her escape.
Three consecutive gunshots were heard as soon as they entered the shooting range. A lone man was standing and in a flawless position of holding and aiming the gun on the target.
"Oh my god, is that him?" Rachelle exclaimed when they entered the shooting range. Looking directly at the young man who was wearing a plain white shirt and geared up. Male lead aura, Yanarym could discern that he is Lawrence Marshall.
His very description, jet-black hair, thick arched eyebrows, pointy nose, and defined jaw. The luscious lips with his bright alluring smile. Should she describe his body? There's no need for it, he's literally a human living statue of Adonis.
"Good afternoon everyone." His blithe tone that was cheerfully yet manly caused Jana to hit Eizelle on her shoulder. "I'm your temporary instructor, you can call me Law." He smiled wider as he strolled his eyes to the student. "Your instructor was also my teacher once and he had personal matters to attend to, that's why I am his substitute for a month," Yanarym observed him intently. His personality certainly flipped, he was dissimilar to Lawrence from the book. It was said there that he was rarely seen smiling but right now? He looks so cheery and not austere.
Lawrence stopped looking around when he saw Yanarym staring at him. Finally, he saw someone appealing to the eyes. She was the prettiest girl he had seen in this department so far. Aside from it, he was intrigued with her nonchalant reaction from locking eyes with him. He knows his charisma, she should be blushing with him staring back at her. However, she remained unfazed nor startled, she didn't even bat an eye or change her unruffled expression. Even her friends were agitated but she didn't pay it in mind. She smiled at him and slowly nodded her head as if showing some respect.
He was astonished that her cold veneer changed to a seraphic appearance when she smiled. He tried to collect himself like he was not affected and told everyone to get ready. Since this was not the beginning of the semester, he doesn't need to guide or teach the students what to or not to do.
The truth was, he was not the one who was supposed to be in here. However, he found it boring to solve a case that was assigned to him. That was why he passed it on to a friend that was assigned to be a temporary instructor at this university. He almost thought he made a wrong choice of decision. He looked at the girl who piqued his interest and grin, it's been a long time since the last time he fooled around.
Yanarym could feel the male lead's eyes following her, she frowned and held the gun properly, and started shooting on the target. Heeding his thoughts through Guide-sama she wanted to laugh with no humor. How long has it been since she last encountered a jerk-like person? She was too sheltered by the family, she couldn't see a single sullied person.
Too bad, this time, she doesn't want to do anything with the male protagonist or any male character other than her future husband. Because she was not in need of interacting with one, not part of the goal. Even if it is just a short time flinging or whatever, she knew very well that his character would not take her seriously in any way. He was only interested in her beauty which she supposed was really hard to resist.
She could give an exemption but, again, that wasn't part of her task, a waste of time. Also, she decided to stick to Movu alone, she had stalled Yashnile's realization of his feelings for her and didn't entertain anyone. Lawrence couldn't ruin her plan. Well, there was actually no concrete plan but she just wanted this time to stick in one to one relationship with a person. Polygamy was hard to manage, competition and jealousy were one of the hardest things to control.
"Do you mind?" Yanarym looked at Lawrence with his unannounced interruption. She removed her earmuffs and faked a smile at him. He was cute up close, despite the fact that she was satisfied that his gorgeous face won't make her interested in him. She wondered as the years had gone by if Movu did mature as the male lead did,
Lawrence smiled back, extending his arm to ask for the gun she's holding, "Let me show you." Yanarym put it on his palm. He looked at the target and aimed the gun. "The angle of your grip and your stance were… excellent." He laid down the gun and redirected his eyes on her then showed his best enchanting smile. "I really came to ask you for your name, do you mind?"
"He is making a move. He is hitting on her!" Rachelle whispered to Jana while shaking her right arm. "I told you, no one can resist Rym's charm."
"Put on your bets," Eizelle smirked and had two tiny bag-pocket ready since she saw this coming better to make money for it.
"Your friend is getting hit by an infamous playboy, aren't you going to warn her? And what's worse, you are betting on her fate?" One of the boys who had a longtime crush on Yanarym rebutted. Rachelle scoffed and rolled her eyes at him.
"Kyle, we are trying to gain something from the situation. Do you know who taught us to be so smart? Rym herself." Rachelle said dryly.
"And if it's a game, there are two players," Jana added and put three thousand pesos in her pocket, that's her entire allowance.. Eizelle silently seconded and put on her own bets too, the other girls followed them and some of the guys.
