16 Publishing Industry

Kyle opened his laptop(MPG) and started searching, and to his surprise, No publishing Industry use books anymore, they all use this thing called, Crystal projector, Kyle checked what this thing called Crystal projector and it was actually popular, it was a portable thing that serves as library but the thing is Kyle felt Novels must be written on books, Kyle sighed and started looking for publishing industry that still uses book, it seems like it has been 10 years since Crystal Projector had been popular in this parallel world, Kyle massaged his temples, still looking for the industry and to his luck he found one.

But it seems like it would be taken down next month, it had already been struggling for 10 years and the only industry that has been standing with persisting on only having books, Kyle immediately contacted them.

In a old company, it was void with life, there was no workers, no machine that was working, but sitting in one of the rooms was a girl, she had long blonde hair and long eyelashes with golden eyes and a petite body, she was like a princess but now she was having a mix of emotions, she stared at the empty book shelves in front of her, "A Room without books is like a body without soul", this was the words of her grandfather who loved books, and she finally knew the feeling.

"I'm sorry grandpa" She murmured as tears came out of her beautiful eyes, when her grandfather was still alive, everything was perfect, her grandfather had told her many things, she enjoyed the world she joined when she was with her grandfather, she still remembers the time she was reading a book with her grandfather.

"Grandpa why do you like books?" she asked

"Hm?" Her grandfather was surprised but he smiled and let her sit on his lap and then he said ""I love books. I adore everything about them. I love the feel of the pages on my fingertips. They are light enough to carry, yet so heavy with worlds and ideas. I love the sound of the pages flicking against my fingers. Print against fingerprints. Books make people quiet, yet they are so loud."

"I don't understand! tell them simply!" She said pouting, her grandfather laughed happily and then caressed her head and then said "Reading could take you anywhere, from places you have never seen before and the paradise that never existed, it was all there".

The little girl thought then asked "Why don't you just go out and travel?"

Her grandfather stopped caressing her head and said to her "Little Natalie, That's the thing about books. They let you travel without moving your feet." then kissed her forehead, this was her final memories with her grandfather before he left, she walked around the room and saw her grandfather's picture, she took it and hugged it, just then her phone started ringing.

She checked the caller but do not recognized it, she then answered the call, curious who was it.

"Hello?" a man's voice sounded.

"How may I help you?" Natalie askd

"Is this the Nefelibata Library publishing industry? (A/N: Nefelibata. Definition: A cloud walker. An individual who lives in the clouds of her own imagination or dreams. A person who doesn't abide by the rules of society, literature, or art, and I am not good at naming XD)

"Yes" Natalie replied

"Oh, Good, I heard that the your industry is closi..."Kyle haven't finished when he was cut off.

"WE DON'T NEED YOUR PITY THANK YOU!" She said before dropping the call.

"Dut Dut Dut"

Kyle was surprised, that was fast he thought, he then called again, but was turned down, he called again, but was turned down again, he called again...

After 20 or so calls, Natalie finally answered the call, "What do you want?" she said in an angry voice, "Why did you end the call? dont you know its rude?" Kyle said, "So what?" Natalie answered back, Kyle shrugged and just answered, "I want to buy the Nefelibata Library".

"WHAT?" Natalie answered in shock, it took a while before she regained her calm and asked again "Are you sure?" She asked,

"I'm not joking" Kyle nonchantly replied.

"What do you plan to do?" She asked again.

"Revive."Kyle replied.

"Huh? Do you know what you are saying? Books had already been..."She was speaking when Kyle cut her off.

"It can be revived as long as we have good stories, Many people, myself among them, feel better at the mere sight of a book." Kyle said.

Natalie didn't speak anymore and bit her lower lip, she turned her head and looked at the picture of her grandfather, "Okay, I will sell it to you" she answered after few struggles.

"Okay! Please come to SilverBird Filming Industry here in City Z, and bring the necessary papers" Kyle said.

"SilverBird Filming Industry?" Natalie asked, she have never heard of it before.

"Oh, ill give you the address." Kyle said as he sent a message to Natalie before ending the call.

Natalie didnt care anymore and took the necessary papers, then looked at her Grandfather for the last time before going out, she was not that far from City Z and she reached it in just half an hour, she was surprised, she saw letters on the mountain it was big as she can already see it from afar, it says SilverBird, and when she reached the place, it was spacious and many buildings were still on construction, she entered the building and stated her visit to the counter.

It didn't take long before she was allowed to go, and when she reached the office, she was shocked, she saw a young man sitting on the office, "Nice to Meet you, My name is Kyle Leon."

She smiled and then introduced herself "Hello, nice to meet you too, Im Natalie Fox"
