Chapter 460 - Valorant's Super Invasive Anti-Cheat

Just think about it, is installing a program that's always running with level 0 access whenever you boot up your pc a smart idea? The anti cheat program that Valorant uses is Vanguard and it is a ridiculously invasive program that doesn't even work well enough (since there were already hackers within the first few days of beta). Once you've installed the program, it will always be running on your computer with level 0 access. That basically means that it'll start before everything else and have access to everything. Since it starts when your PC is booted, if there is an issue, well you're out of luck as it will have essentially bricked your computer.

Some reported issues include computer crashes, blue screens of death, complete loss of control of mouse and keyboard, vital programs being blocked, and many more.

Let's say it doesn't instantly destroy your PC, which is the most likely outcome.

You've basically installed a rootkit into your pc and created a backdoor that can be used by hackers to gain complete control of your pc.

Essentially it can be considered as malware.

As of the now, as far as I know, it is impossible to run Valorant on a virtual PC.

The worst part is how they don't even warn you before you make that decision to download it.
