Chapter 789 - Bungee

The acceleration caused by earth's gravity is around 9.81 meters per second per second. The weight of said object has no impact on the rate of acceleration (however air resistance plays a critical factor).

In the same sense that a whip can break the sound barrier due to the way it moves, humans actually accelerate faster whilst bungee jumping than during a free fall.

Just think of it as a whip with a human attached.
