Chapter 57：CHAPTER 57: I HAVE KIDS

I was not in the country after my meeting with the new investor. He wanted me to come to his country in a few days. I was supposed to be back on Sunday but we got a nice transaction and agreement. I arrived in the country last Thursday night but went straight to A City, the main branch. My father called me after I got the contract.

Friday morning I reported to the main branch and met my father. He congratulated me for all the things I have done in the B City. We discussed about some businesses and ended up well. It was past six in the evening when I left the main branch.

I went to Chinese Restaurant to order take out before I go back to my house. Yes, the one I used to live during my senior year, the house next to Cadence's parents. I was in the cashier paying my orders when somebody called my name.

I turned around to look. It was Tony. "Hello, man. Long-time no see." He said with smile on his face.

"Hey, good to see you again it has been a long time too. How are you?" I said as we greeted in fist bump.

"I am good and happily married," he said proudly and I can see it in his eyes that he is genuinely happy. "What about you? Where have you been lately?"

"I am still single. Anyway, are you alone?" I asked.

"Yes, I was about to order take out since my wife and kids were at the B City for birthday party tomorrow." He said. "So, how about we can bond for a while here and or go somewhere to talk something more." He suggested.

I agreed with his suggestion who we take out our order and we convoy to the nearest park in the city. We parked our cars and sat down as we used to do during our times in the past. We talked about our lives after high school then who his wife is.

"I cannot believe that you two will end up together. You and Clare… really!" I said shockingly.

"Yeah, I met her again in college and then we got serious after graduation. I did not expect it either because knowing Clare." He smiled thinking about his wife. "By the way, how come you are still single? I thought you were head over heels to Cadence. You know your kids look like you." He said the word kids that shocked me hearing that.

"What! What are you talking about?" I shockingly asked. I have kids.

The look of Tony's face was confused too. "Yeah, your kids, you and Cadence have kids. Clare told me that she got pregnant after graduation and got pregnant again after her sister's wedding. You don't know?" he doubtfully asked.

"No, I do not even know we have kids. She never mentions it to me. We were working together in my company and she is my current secretary." I frowned while saying it in front of him.

"Okay, meet me at the airport we will take the first flight and do not mention this to Clare that you saw me here. Cadence did not know that I arrived in the country she was expecting that I will be back on Sunday." I reminded him.

Tony nodded then we go on separate ways. I wanted to call her but I control myself because right now I am so pissed.
