Chapter 39

Ethan's daily life continues like that for two more months, a month ago Ken did come home to Ethan's apartment but he just stayed for a week and then leave again. He told Ethan that he wanted to stay a little longer in that hospital to widen more his experience as a doctor, plus the people there do need more doctors which is why he and the rest of the group decided to stay a little longer. Ken didn't dare to tell Ethan about him living together with Yuki nor about his bond with the omega. For the whole week, he and Ethan only slept together in the same bed, naked, and would only do it a few times than normal.

"Dr. Aoki, did you come to see Dr. Jessica?" asked the nurse that is outside the office or clinic of Dr. Jessica. It has been three months since the night that Ethan was forced to sleep with his brother-in-law. After Ken left a month ago, Ethan started to feel a little bit uneasy. He started to crave foods that he never even wanted to eat or he is always hungry even in the middle of his night shift. A week ago he started to have morning sickness, where he had himself tested with the pregnancy kit that he had at home. He then discovers the reason behind his morning sickness and craving, he is indeed pregnant.

He needed to know how far is he or what he needs to take while being pregnant. As much as he wanted to leave the city to avoid his family from knowing about his pregnancy, he cannot just leave since he still has to do his duty as a doctor. That is why he will ask for the help of his friend, Dr. Jessica to let him know what are the do's and don'ts during pregnancy.

"Yes, I already informed her that I am coming, is she busy?" asked Ethan to the nurse.

"no Dr. Aoki, there is still one hour left before her clinic opens so you can go inside. Dr. Jessica is just getting ready for her patients later, and since you said that you already told her you are coming then she might be waiting for you right now."

"Alright, I'll just go inside, thanks!" Ethan then bid goodbye to the nurse and went inside the clinic where Dr. Jessica was waiting for him.

"Good Morning Dr. Aoki, So what do I awe the pleasure of your surprise visit today?" teases Dr. Jessica, it is not every day that Ethan would visit her clinic.

"Stop that Jessica, I need you to check up on me" Ethan doesn't want to play around since there is a more important matter at hand.

"check-up on you? Why? don't tell me, Ken, finally knock you up?"

"well, I want to make sure that I am pregnant and how long am I. I don't want to go on to details about how am I pregnant, I just want to know what are the things that I need to do, all of it"

"Alright, first of all, calm down. Did you bring your pregnancy test kit?"

"yes, it's right here. I even did three of them to make sure that It was right and all three of them showed two lines which means I'm positive right?"

"That is right, This test kit is what we also use here in the hospital that is why it is most likely true. But I will need you to lay down on the bed so that I can do an ultrasound test on you. Did you only discover your pregnancy? Not to be rude but omega's heat tends to stop when they got pregnant."

"Yes, I was too busy at work and didn't even notice that my heat had stopped coming for months. Is it alright for you to do the ultrasound? You are pregnant after all" Ethan was a little concerned with the current condition of his friend since ultrasound is after all a little bad for the baby.

"You don't have to worry, the ultrasounds that were being used here in the Ob-Gyne department were specifically for pregnant women and I rarely use this since I would normally ask my nurse to be the one to do it. But since you are a special case, I will do it, so lay down now."

"ok" Ethan did as what was told to him, during the ultrasound, he heard the sound of the heartbeat of his child. He may not like what happened that night but his child is there inside of him. He was happy to know that he/she is very healthy according to Dr. Jessica's observation.

"Now then, you are currently 3 months pregnant. This means the first trimester had already passed, and you are now in your second trimester. Do you experience vomiting or morning sickness? Headache? Cravings? Or even sleepiness?"

"Three months…ah! yes, just a week ago my morning sickness started and I think the craving and my sleepiness started a month ago"

"I see, Morning sickness would eventually tone down as your second-trimester progress but your craving and sleepiness would be more extreme. You know that I am currently on the last month of my second trimester and I have gone through all of that so I am speaking by experience *giggle*"

"*giggle* then do I need to take some vitamins or something for the baby? I want my child to be a healthy one" Ethan then caresses his not-so-visible baby bump. Once a woman or an omega knows they are carrying their child, they would have what they call mother's love and instinct.

"of course! I will prescribe you your vitamins and you will need to take all of this before or after your meals. Also, avoid stressing or tiring yourself, carrying heavy things, and don't even think of overworking yourself or else you will lose your child!"

"I understand"

"Alright! Do you want a copy of your ultrasound?"

"yes please, but can you not put my name in it. I don't want anyone to know about it yet. Especially my family"

"of course, would it be alright to just put your surname then?" Asked Dr. Jessica who got a nod from Ethan. She printed a copy of the ultrasound and gave it to Ethan. Behind Ethan's back, she printed another one and in that copy, she placed the name of Elise.

Ethan bid goodbye to Dr. Jessica before he left the clinic, he will need to talk to her about his pregnancy once he got back. He will need to explain to him how he got pregnant and all.. He just hopes that Ken would accept his child even though it is not his, he wanted to keep the baby and gave his baby a wonderful family.
