"Tara are you sure about this?" Kian asked in a serious voice.

Both Tara and Kian were sitting on the sofa near the huge window inside Kian's room.

Tara's head was resting on Kian's chest and Kian was combing her silky hairs softly with his fingers.

"Hmm...100% sure!!" Tara said and looked upwards to meet his blue eyes.

"Tara...2 years is not a joke!" Kian said in a serious tone.

"I know..." Tara said softly.

"I know...2 years is a really long time...but I need this time to grow Kian, I can't always live under the protection of my brothers forever, I have to establish myself as someone who can live on her own and can win with her own capacity" Tara said in a soft tone.

"You are someone Tara...people here know you and respects you...it's not that you achieved everything because of your family, you worked hard for everything and you too know it was never easy for you" Kian said while looking at her.

"I know Kian ....but I want more...I want people to not just know me but I want them to know my capabilities and for that I need this two years" Tara said while looking at him with those determined eyes.

"Ok! if you want this then let's do this...but only two years Tara, no more than that" Kian sighed softly.

"Of course...only two years..." Tara closed her eyes while resting on Kian's chest.

Both of them where busy in their own thoughts and nobody noticed when sleep greeted them, the next morning came by in a blink and it was again the time to go back to work.

"Tara you are late!!" Sid who was waiting outside her office said in a questioning way.

"Ah! Yes yes I am...I am sorry..." Tara hurriedly entered her office.

"Hey! What happened to you??" Sid asked in a concerned tone.

"Oh nothing...I just met someone outside then I realised that I am late...so I just ran!!" Tara said while gulping down a glass of water.

"Who? " Sid asked in a confused tone.

"What, who?!" Tara looked at her brother questioningly.

"Whom do you met outside?" Sid said in a slightly bored tone.

"Oh that! you don't know her so just leave it...." Tara said while shrugging her shoulders softly.

"Okay...so your flight is tomorrow...are you prepared!?" Sid asked in a slight unhappy tone.

"Oh yes! Sarthaki helped me in packing my things....I guess I should just take him with me...he looks like a lost puppy whenever I leave his side! And today morning he was looking like I am leaving him forever...he looked so pitiful!" Tara helplessly shook her head when she remembered his face.

"Hmm...it's a good idea...that way we can rest in peace too ...he is very responsible" Sid said while nodding.

"I am responsible too..." Tara said in a slight grumpy tone.

"Yes of course....no doubt in that" Sid smirked and left her office leaving a unhappy Tara behind.

After a day full of work it was time to go back home for the employees who were working non stop from the morning. One by one the lights of the desks were turning off leaving a defying silence behind.

Tara who was still working on her laptop noticed the weird silence of the floor, she looked outside and a dark sky with no stars atall greeted her sight.

Tara sighed softly when she remembered that from tomorrow she will start working somewhere else, away from home, away from the people she loved the thought made her very uneasy, but she needed this break.

Just when she thought of retiring from work for today a knock on the door of her office room disturbed her trails of thoughts.

She softly said come in and waited for the arrival of the guest but what greeted her eyes were something she never expected.

"Grandpa..." Tara said softly and quickly came forward to hold the hand of the old man who was looking at her direction with an unexplainable expression on his face.

Tara quickly came forward to hold the old man's hand who was looking like he aged ten years more in the last few weeks.

Tara held his hands softly and made him sit on the sofa.

Both of them were silent, nobody knew how to start talking moreover where to start talking from.

Suddenly Tara broke that uncomfortable silence, it was suffocating for her.

"How are you Grandpa?" Tara asked softly to the old man who was clearly disturbed by something.

"Huh! You said something?" Mr.De asked in a confused tone.

"Hmm...I asked how are you?" Tara said with a soft smile on her face.

"Me...I am good" Mr.De said in a monotonous tone.

Tara can clearly see that he was anything but good but she decided to keep silent for the time being.

"You are leaving tomorrow?" Mr.De asked her in a soft voice.

"Hmm...Grandpa...I am " Tara said softly.

"That's good...work very hard there...never let anyone win against you...when doing buisness don't let the opposite party sense your strategy and don't work on impulse " Mr.De said in a stern tone.

"Hmm...Grandpa I know." Tara smiled softly when she remembered that this were the exact words her grandfather told her when she was going to attain her life's first meeting as the leader.

"Tara....I am sorry!" Mr.De said in a voice that sounded so pitiful to Tara.

"Grandpa...." Tara looked confusingly at the proud man in front of her whom she had never seen looking like that before.

"I am leaving the company....I am resigning from the post of Chairman" Mr.De looked outside the window to stare at the star less sky outside.

Tara was shocked to her core, she never ever expected this for the last few weeks all of them were working non-stop to stop this man and seize his powers and here he is suddenly leaving everything all by himself.

Tara turned to look at his face staring towards the sky.

"Grandpa....why?" Tara asked hurriedly.

"Don't look at me like that...isn't this what you all wanted" Mr.De smiled a bit but that smile too looked oddly sad.

"I am leaving because I know I won't be able to win against you young ones...I believe in my teaching...and I know you and Siddharth can dethrone me...let this old man have some dignity left" Mr.De laughed a bit.

But Tara was still under a trance, the man she grew up with whom she had never seen leaving a fight was now here in front of her giving away his most precious thing just like that.
