Chapter 11:To the Police Station

In the end, Song Xing Xing was taken to the police station.

That lunatic was accusing her of sneaking into the event to find some materials on the celebrities. No matter how she tried to deny it, the lunatic and the guards refused to believe her explanation. With the photo in her phone as evidence, Song Xing Xing was unable to escape these charges.

Because she was persistent not to admit her wrongdoing, that lunatic had decided to call the police.

As the policemen dragged her to the police car, Song Xing Xing lowered her head, wondering what would her mother say if she heard that she was taken away by the policemen. Song Xing Xing had a feeling that her mother would be furious. It was better if she never heard anything about this incident.

"Get in," the young policeman spoke.

Song Xing Xing looked up with a pleading look in her gaze, but the cold-blooded policeman continued to ignore her. Song Xing Xing could only resign to her fate and let them take her to the station.

Her movement halted when she saw a face that she recognized. Her eyes brightened and Song Xing Xing started to shout. "Bai Zhi! Over here!"

The woman turned around. Her expression grew stiff when she saw the police car. Bai Zhi studied the situation and was surprised when she saw the two policemen beside her friend.

"Bai Zhi!" Song Xing Xing shouted again. However, her voice then stopped when she noticed that the person had disappeared into the crowds.

The surrounding was too loud and there were too many people around. Thinking that Bai Zhi had not heard her voice, Song Xing Xing had no other choice but to leave the scene with the policemen.

The police car moved to leave the venue. Song Xing Xing looked out the window and then, shifted her gaze to the cuff around her hand.

This was the first time that she had rode a police car and the feeling was quite novel.

When she was a kid, she would often wonder what it would feel like to ride a police car. Song Xing Xing was not expecting that she would get this experience when she was this old.

Once she arrived at the station, the policeman took her to a room where she gave her statement. Fortunately, the policeman this time seemed a little friendlier than the one who escorted her from the venue. Song Xing Xing explained to the kind policeman that she was only taking the picture of her friend's boyfriend, who was cheating on another girl.

Fortunately, the policeman seemed to believe her words.

After giving her a statement, the policeman allowed her to leave, but she needed to call someone to pick her up.

Her first thought was, of course, to call the person who made her go through all this misunderstanding, Bai Zhi.

However, the moment Song Xing Xing explained what was going on, Bai Zhi started to cry.

"Xing Xing, it's not that I did not want to pick you up, but you know my current situation," Bai Zhi spoke. "The company was considering to talk to the director and let me play as the second lead in a new drama. If anyone heard that I visited the police station, there is no way that the company will help me. Xing Xing, I'm sorry. But you understand right? This new drama will be a big break for me."

Song Xing Xing continued to listen to her friend rambling on and heaved a sigh. "Alright. I know. I will try to call another person."

"Thank you. I know that you would be this understanding," Bai Zhi spoke. "Tomorrow, let me treat you to a meal, alright?"

The phone call ended. Song Xing Xing leaned on the chair behind her and heaved a long sigh.

"What's the matter? You have no one to pick you up?" the kind policeman asked as he looked at the phone in her hand. Seeing that the woman in front of him did not answer, the policeman's gaze turned warmer.

Song Xing Xing tried to think of another person who could come over and help her in the situation. She had a few friends in Capital City, but Song Xing Xing was not sure if they would be able to bail her out…

A face appeared in her mind, but Song Xing Xing was a little scared to dial that person's number. After a while, she gritted her teeth and decided to call another number instead.

The call went through in five seconds.

"Sister-in-law!" Song Xing Xing nearly burst into her tears the moment she heard that voice.

"What happened?" The person on the other line started to panic.

"I'm at the police station." Song Xing Xing sniffled before she explained her situation. "Sister-in-law, can you come over and pick me up?"

"Which police station? Where are you?" Her sister-in-law continued to ask. "Xing Xing, just stay there. I will come over and pick you up as soon as I can."

"Un." Song Xing Xing nodded obediently. At this time, her cousin brother's scary face appeared in her mind and she started to panic. Before the phone call ended, Song Xing Xing did not forget to remind her, "Sister-in-law! Whatever happens, please don't tell my cousin brother about this."

Once her sister-in-law agreed, Song Xing Xing heaved a breath of relief. Although her mother had reminded her to look for her cousin if she ever ran into trouble, Song Xing Xing really did not want to look for him.

After waiting in the police station for half an hour, a policeman finally walked over and announced that someone had come over to pick her up. A bright smile curled on her lips as she knew that she could leave the place.

Song Xing Xing gathered her belongings from the policeman before she followed him out.

The moment she saw the familiar silhouette, Song Xing Xing froze in place.

"Xing Xing!" Her sister-in-law, Han Yue Xiu, called out. She gave Song Xing Xing a look over and heaved with relief upon seeing that the girl was without harm.

Noticing that the girl was looking in a direction, Han Yue Xiu then followed her gaze.

"Xing Xing, sorry. I wasn't going to tell him about this. I ran into him at the entrance and he insisted to come along."

The man jotted down something in the paperwork that the policeman had asked him to sign. Then, slowly, Song Yi turned around and stared at his younger cousin.

Meeting the man's gaze, Song Xing Xing grew very frightened.
