Su Hui came out of the bathroom and went to the bed where Lu Chen was sleeping soundly.
'You are sleeping here in peace and I am feeling pain in my heart as if someone stabbed me. I can't even tell you anything as I am worried it might break you. The family you thought as yours for all these years is not yours. The blood in your body is not from the Lus but from one ordinary person. All the pride that you felt all these years for having loving parents, caring siblings and everyone around you are not yours but the result of gratitude shown by someone in exchange for the sacrifice that your parents made.'
Su Hui lied down in the bed beside her husband and continued looking at him, thinking how much hurt he would feel if he got to know about it. All the surrounding things would disappear at the moment as if it was an illusion. He was being a filial son and an obedient brother for all his life and in return, he would get the truth that could shake his entire self.
More than her husband, Su Hui felt worried about the future of her two sons. Deciding what to do next, she closed her eyes hoping the next morning will come soon and she will find out the solution for her problem.
The next day after breakfast, Su hui asked her sons Lu Han to call Lu Feng back home as he was in the hospital. She knew Lu Feng won't come back if she called him. Lu Feng came back and Lu Han took him to his mother's room.
"What happened, elder brother?" Lu Feng asked as both were going to their mother's room.
"I don't know but mother called both of us to be in her room," Lu Han replied.
Hearing it, Lu Feng halted in his tracks. "I thought she is not well or something that's why you are taking me to her. If not then I won't come."
Lu Han stopped too. "Why are you like this, Lu Feng? She is our mother and she loves her. I never objected to the way you behaved with her, but this time I will. She called us, so there must be something important."
"I know it well, but if she will say something that I am not interested in, then I don't want to see her." Lu Feng argued.
"How will you know without going to her? Just see why she called both of us together and if it is something that you won't like, you are free to leave."
His brother's words were enough to convince him and not arguing much, Lu Feng went to his mother's room along with Lu Han.
When they entered the room, Su Hui was sitting in the chair and she asked them to sit on the couch. She looked more serious than what she usually looks, which made both of them wonder what might have happened suddenly.
As they sat on the couch, opposite to their mother, Lu Han asked, "What happened, Mother?"
"I will say about something and I want both of you to take it seriously this time. Whatever it is, but it's for your own good." Su Hui replied and Lu Feng understood what would come next.
As Lu Feng was about to say something, Lu Han stopped him by putting his hand on his thigh and said, "Continue, Mother."
Then, Lu Han looked at Lu Feng as if saying, let her speak first. Lu Feng unwillingly kept calm, ready to hear his mother.
"It's a time now when your mother wants her sons to have a stable and high position in the family business."
The moment Lu Feng heard it, Lu Feng got up from the couch.
"Sit down, Lu Feng. I am not done yet," said Su Hui in a cold voice.
"I am not interested in what you are saying, mother."
"It's not about whether you are interested, Lu Feng. It's about what we should do and this time you have to listen to me or you won't be able to see your mother again."
It stunned Lu Feng to see his mother taking an extreme way to convince him and asked, "Blackmailing me, mother?"
"I am doing what one mother should do for the better life of her kids," Su Hui replied with not an ounce of hesitation.
"What happened suddenly that you are acting like this, mother? Grandpa has surgery tomorrow and is this the time for you to talk about these things?" Lu Feng asked.
"This is the right time for me as it's already so late. It has nothing to with your grandfather's surgery."
"Mother, don't make me hate you even more by doing this."
"What have I done that you hate me?" She asked, her inner self angry at the thought that the son who loved her the most in the past now hates her.
"What you are doing right now, is the reason," Lu Feng replied coldly, not minding if he would hurt his mother.
"When will you understand, what I am doing is for your own good and in future, if the things get out...." She stopped realizing she should not say what she was about to say in the fit of anger. She didn't want her sons to know about it.
"What will get out, Mother?" Lu Han who was silently waiting for both to finish their argument which was nothing new for him finally asked and Lu Feng looked at his mother to know what was going in her mind.
"I mean to say what if in future people will say my children are not as capable as others? Don't you think it's humiliating for a mother?" Su Hui suddenly changed what she was saying.
"Hmm!" Lu Han sighed and Lu Feng said, "I won't work to feed anyone's ego here. I will do what I feel the best." Saying, Lu Feng left to go out of the room, but Su Hui called him loudly.
"Lu Feng!"
