Jiang Yuyan continued, "He showed how incredibly he could work despite being so young and proved how capable he is." Jiang Yuyan paused for a moment as she straight looked into Lu Lijun's eyes, "I must say, I'm proud of him."
Lu Lijun felt like she directly talked to him. He could feel those were not hollow words, and she didn't say it to praise him in front of others. Those were her genuine words, which she never said to him directly.
As if he got what he wished for so long, Lu Lijun felt overwhelmed but didn't know how to react to it and turned silent.
"Seems like a great day for him," Jake said in a low voice that only Noah could hear.
Noah nodded, "But, as usual, he doesn't know how to express happiness."
"He will learn," said Jake.
"You need to learn too," Noah said, and Jake kept quiet as Noah was right.
Older Lu brothers and Lu Lian were happy too and felt glad that Jiang Yuyan thought like that about Lu Lijun. Jiang Yuyan was not the one to praise or show false things but always did what was right.
Xiao Min looked at Lu Lijun, who was silent hearing it and could understand how Lu Lijun must feel at the moment. Jiang Yuyan was once an important person for Lu Lijun who sent him away and acted as if she abandoned him, but finally, she showed what she thought of him.
Not just for Lu Lijun, but Xiao Min was happy for his boss too as she could successfully conduct her plan that she had for Lu Lijun.
Hearing Jiang Yuyan's words, the entire place was filled with loud sound clapping and heard Jiang Yuyan again.
"I would like Lu Lijun to come here."
Lu Lijun didn't expect it.
Lu Jinhai looked at his hesitant son and said, "You deserve to be there."
Xiao Min and Lu Chen, too, agreed with Lu Jinhai.
Lu Lijun stood up and went to the stage where he joined others.
Jiang Yuyan came to him as she smiled, "I'll leave it to you now."
Lu Lijun nodded, and Jiang Yuyan stepped down the stage and joined her father-in-law.
Everyone appreciated Lu Lijun for his work, and they welcomed him into the business world.
Just as all this was going on, someone entered the hall and witnessed it silently while standing away. Two ladies, one older one and the younger one, walked inside, passing the gazes of curious people who were attracted by the sudden appearance of one pretty girl who looked royal.
Seeing the familear older woman with her, others understood who the girl was.
They went to where Mr. Wen sat, and it was clear who the girl was.
Seeing them, Mr. Wen smiled brightly. "Finally, you are here, Liwei."
"Apology for being late, father," she said, smiling pleasantly.
A pretty and graceful young woman with a slender physique and average height, wearing a perfectly fitted white floral lace dress long up to her mid-thigh. The part of the shoulder and long sleeves stitched in laser-cut lace, the part below the bodice was like a mini ruffle skirt that gave her a cute look as her slender legs looked pretty in silver-white heels.
Her caramel brown hair with light beige color streaks, long up to her elbows, parted on one side, left open. The delicate fair skin, which needed no makeup, her thin lips coated with light pink color lipgloss, added to her pretty smile that looked pleasant.
"It's fine dear, I know your flight was late," said Mr. Wen as he stood up and pulled the chair for his daughter and the wife.
Making them comfortable, he joined them. Lu Jinhai saw them and greeted his wife by bowing a little. As the event was going on, they couldn't talk more.
From the stage, Wen Zac noticed his sister and smiled, looking at her as Liwei too saw her brother.
One by one, everyone present on the stage talked about the project and what kind of goals they had regarding it.
Talking with his daughter, Mr. Wen informed her about people present on the stage as she didn't know most of them.
When Ming Rusheng talked, Mr. Ming introduced, "He is Uncle Yusheng's son. You must remember him."
Liwei nodded lightly, "He is a good friend of the elder brother."
"Ohh, right, then you sure know him."
When it was Lu Lijun's turn, Mr. Wen asked, "Do you remember him?"
Liwei shook her head. Mr. Wen was about to tell her who he was, just then, she spoke to interrupt him, "Father."
"Yes, dear?" Mr. Wen waited for his daughter to speak.
"I'm meeting father after so long, and father is busy talking about others," she said.
Mr. Wen laughed a little, "Okay, I'll stop. Let's talk about my lovely daughter.
"Shouldn't father focus on what was going there?" she asked, signaling her father to look at the stage.
Mr. Wen smiled pleasantly and nodded. It was clear that he couldn't contain the happiness of seeing his adorable daughter.
"Your father is just happy seeing you here," Mr. Wen's wife talked to Liwei.
"I know, mother, and happy to see him too," Liwei spoke.
The two friends sitting close by noticed it too. When Liwei sat with Mr. Wen they understood she must be his daughter.
"Our friend's probable match is here," Noah commented.
Jake gave him a questioning look, "Really?"
Noah nodded, "Hmm? Can't you see how much interest Mr. Wen shows in our friend?"
"Does he know it?"
"Doesn't matter. No one can make him do anything against his wish, so rest assured."
"That's true," Jake agreed and commented, "He will go after someone just like him, cold and stubborn."
Noah exclaimed in a whispering voice, "Did you just call my big boss a cold and stubborn person? She is not...."
Jake glared at him, and Noah mumbled to himself, "Well, President Lu is sure like that."
Jake gave him a narrowed eyes look, "Watch what you say."
"Don't worry," Noah assured.
