Chapter 1035 - Reason For Pain...

After breakfast, Mr. Wen called Lu Jinhai. Mr. Wen couldn't sleep the entire night and wanted to talk to his friend as soon as possible.

Lu Jinhai was in his study with Lu Feng, where Lu Lijun heard them talking about Wen Zac and Jiang Yuyan and left in anger. Just as Lu Jinhai finished talking to Lu Feng, he got a call from Mr. Wen.

Lu Feng excused himself and went out while Lu Jinhai received the call.

Just after greeting his friend, Mr. Wen immediately asked, "Did you talk to President Lu about my son?"

"Not yet, but today I'll talk," Lu Jinhai asked.

Mr. Wen gave out a sigh of relief, "Thank god."

It surprised Lu Jinhai, and he asked, "What happened?"

Mr. Wen told him everything.

Lu Jinhai didn't feel surprised over it and replied, "I think these young people can understand each other better than we do. I just talked to Lu Feng, and he said the same thing, so I was conflicted over if I should ask Yuyan or not."

"If it's the truth, then let's not bother President Lu," Mr. Wen suggested.

Lu Jinhai agreed.

"But still, I don't want to give up on being us as relatives," Saying Mr wen talked about Lu Lian.

Lu Jinhai paused for a while and said, "I need to talk about it to others and also, Yuyan."

"Yes, and this time let's not delay it more," Mr. Wen suggested.

"I'll inform you once I talk to others," Lu Jinhai hung up the call and went out of his study to go to the office.

In the living room, he saw the elders and went to them. Just then, Lu Feng, who witnessed Lu Lijun leaving home in a hurry, returned.

Seeing him, Lu Jinhai called, "Lu Feng, come here. I have something to talk about."

As everyone was there, Lu Jinhai explained everything.

"When Zac did the right thing," said Lu Feng as he felt relieved over it.

"I feel the same," Lu Jinhai added and told them about Lu Lian.

"But isn't grandpa wants her to marry Ming Rusheng?" Lu Feng asked.

Elder Lu nodded but looked disappointed, "Ming Shihong asked his grandson, but he said he doesn't think about Lian in that way. There is nothing we can do about it."

"Even I don't like him in that way," said someone who just arrived there.

Lu Lian came downstairs as she had to go to the office. She heard what Lu Feng and elder Lu said.

Lu Lian's sudden presence startled them, but they felt relieved that she thought the same, and there was nothing to be sad about.

"Good to know it," said elder Lu as he added, "We will get a better man for my granddaughter."

Lu Lian said nothing and left home.

"Now, what do you think, Lu Feng?" Lu Jinhai asked.

"I think it's fine if she is ready for it," replied Lu Feng and stood up as he excused himself.

Lu Feng hurried to catch up with his sister. Just as she reached outside of the mansion door, Lu Feng called her, and she turned to look at him.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

She nodded as if there was nothing wrong and asked, "What happened, brother?"

"Are you fine with what they talked about?" Lu Feng asked.

"Hmm," she nodded again and spoke, "One day I have to marry someone, and it's not like I'll find someone on my own. Let's father decide it for me. I'm sure they will decide best for me."

Lu Feng just patted her head and allowed her to leave. He didn't know what to think about it. Until a few days back, he almost thought Ming Rusheng and Lu Lian liked each other, but it seems like he was wrong.

Same day. Lu Jinhai went to the office and called for Jiang Yuyan to ask her about Wen Zac and Lu Lian.

Jiang Yuyan came to the office, "Father, asked for me."

"Have a seat," he instructed, and she sat in the chair opposite to him.

"What do you think about Wen Zac and Lian's marriage arrangement?" Lu Jinhai asked.

It surprised Jiang Yuyan, and she asked the same thing as Lu Feng, "Didn't grandpa think about my cousin?"

Lu Jinhai nodded, "But Ming Rusheng and Lu Lian said no to it. Both don't think the same as us."

"Did grandpa ask them?" she asked.

Lu Jinhai nodded and said, "So we decided not to think about it. What's your opinion?"

"I need time to think it over," said Jiang Yuyan as she needed to talk to Lu Lian personally.

Just then, Mr. Wen reached Lu Jinhai's office to invite the Lu Family to his home for dinner. They called for Lu Lijun and asked him to come too.

Jiang Yuyan agreed to be there without giving Lu Lijun a chance to say no.

Once Jiang Yuyan left, Mr wen asked. "Have you talk to President Lu about Wen Zac."

Lu Jinhai nodded, "She asked some time to think it over."

It angered Lu Lijun, and he thought Jiang Yuyan didn't say no but asked for some time to think. That means she was somewhere ready.

The next day when the entire family went to Wen's home, it was about letting Lu Lian get familiar with the family, and two families could know each other well.

After returning from Wen's home, Lu Lijun was angry and went to his room. Jiang Yuyan went to his room to ask what's wrong with him, but she got bitter replies from him as usual.

Hearing all the talk between them, Lu Lian went to her brother and then went to Jiang Yuyan.

Jiang Yuyan asked Lu Lian if she liked Ming Rusheng but got a firm denial from Lu Lian. Getting confirmation from Lu Lian, Jiang Yuyan informed her father-in-law that they could proceed with what they had thought about Lu Lian and Wen Zac.

Both sides were happy hearing it, but one cold guy who never bothered to talk to anyone or listened to anyone was aloof to what was happening, which was the opposite of what he thought.

The next day when Lu Lijun left early without having breakfast, Lu Jinhai called for Lu Lijun to talk about what's wrong with him and why he was angry these days.

When Lu Jinhai talked to Lu Lijun, he received the call from Mr. Wen.

Excited, Mr. Wen asked if Lu Jinhai talked to Jiang Yuyan about Wen Jac and Lu Lian and what she thought about it.

Lu Jinhai replied, "Of course she is fine with it. Yuyan told her opinion this morning. If everything goes right, we can sure be relatives from just friends."

Lu Lijun was sure that Jiang Yuyan agreed to marry Wen Zac and his anger stopped him from thinking clearly.

When Lu Jinhai wished to talk to him about Lu Lian and Wen Zac, Lu Lijun didn't listen to him and left without letting Lu Jinhai complete his thing.

Lu Lijun was determined to never listen to anything that Jiang Yuyan asked him to keep troubling her for the rest of her life which turned into the reason for their pain.
