Wen Zac went to Lu Lian where she sat around one table while accompanying Ming Lan. He offered her his hand and she looked at him questioningly.
"We are on our second date, did you forget?" he asked, while looking at her and didn't even notice the other woman sitting around the same table.
Lu Lian accepted his hand and stood up.
Ming Lan looked at her brother who stood at some distance while looking at Wen Zac and Lu Lian and he gripped the wine glass in his hand. She could clearly see what was going on inside her brother's mind- he was sure angry.
Wen Zac took Lu Lian towards the balcony attached to the hall. The venue hall was huge which had various doors that had balconies attached to it that allowed one to stand there and enjoy the view around. Most of the people in the party enjoyed their drinks while standing on the balconies and talking to each other.
Before leaving with him, Lu Lian looked around and there were not many people in the hall and no one paid attention to them as most of them were busy talking and some had their drinks hit their brains to pay attention to it. She felt relieved to see it as she didn't know what was in Wen Zac's mind and if it's something unusual, no one was there to pay attention.
They walked past Ming Rusheng who looked at her but she acted as if she didn't notice him.
Ming Lan went to him and said, "Brother, should we leave. Not many guests left now?"
"In a while," Ming Rusheng replied as his sight was fixed to the couple that went to the gallery and stood by the railing.
Ming Lan had a bad feeling about it and felt her heart beating faster. She was only worried about her brother.
Lu Lian stood silently at the railing while Wen Zac didn't let go of her hand.
"It's a second date and I thought we should spend some time alone. I hope you don't mind," Wen Zac said as he caressed the back of Lu Lian's palm with his thumb.
She looked at her hand and then to him, "It's fine." She tried to act as calm as she could.
Wen Zac raised his other hand tucked the loose hair strands behind her ear which were dancing with a cold breeze. "I didn't say it before, but you are looking so pretty today."
His actions were already surprising her and now his words. He never acted like before but things seem to be getting serious now.
From a distance, Ming Rusheng was observing them though the long netted clothes hung at the door were stopping a clear view for him to see. He could see Wen Zac held her hand and even tucked her hair strands behind her ears. They both stood closer and even looked at each other.
Ming Rusheng couldn't see Lu Lian's expressions as those decorative white clothes were floating in between but he wondered if she liked it to not pull her hand back and not to stop him from tucking her hair.
"Brother, it's already late. We should….."
Ming Rusheng raised his hand to stop and as he was about to witness something unexpected. He saw Wen Zac moving his other hand to back of Lu Lian's name and moving closer to her while leaning down to reach her face. It seemed not so appropriate to him.
Wen Zac's tall body almost covers Lu Lian as there was no distance left between their faces- Wen Zac kissed Lu Lian and she didn't even resist.
Even Ming Lan was shocked to see it and then got another shock.
Smash!
"Brother….."
The wine glass in Ming Rusheng's hand smashed into pieces causing his hand to bleed badly.
It pulled the attention of others as well as Wen Zac and Lu Lian. everyone saw Ming Rusheng had hurt his hand.
"Brother!" Ming Lan exclaimed, looking at her brother's hurt hand but while Ming Rusheng cared less. His eyes turned moist due to the pain in his heart as his sight was fixed at the gallery.
Wen Zac and Lu Lian looked at the hurt man who looked like he had lost everything in life.
"Brother let's go from here," Ming Lan's choked voice pulled him out of the daze and he turned to leave.
Wen Zac followed Ming Rusheng and Lu Lian did the same. The two had seen Ming Rusheng was hurt and couldn't help but follow him.
Ming Lan was catching up to her brother, almost running behind him. She had never felt this much worry and hurt for her brother. Wen Zac was fast as he reached Ming Rusheng in the corridor that led outside of the venue and towards the parking lot.
"Ming Rusheng," Wen Zac called him.
Ming Rusheng stopped and turned to look at him, His moist eyes turned red with anger as the next moment he held Wen Zac's collar with one hand and his other hand halted in an inch away before punching him hard.
"Brother, no…" Ming Lan exclaimed and looked anxious to her bones.
Ming Rusheng breathed heavily in anger as he greeted his teeth and wanted to hit Wen Zac but he couldn't and had no word to say to his friend.
Just then Lu Lian reached there and saw this view and looked scared seeing it. All she could see was Wen Zac's back and MIng Rusheng was ready to hit him.
Ming Rusheng saw her but again had nothing to say. He lowered his hand and let go Wen Zac who only looked at his hurt and angry friend.
Ming Rusheng turned to leave as Ming Lan followed him. Lu Lian reached where Wen Zac was standing but her eyes were fixed at Ming Rusheng's retreating back and looked like she would cry any moment.
"Go!"
She heard Wen Zac. As if she was waiting to hear it, she ran to follow Ming Rusheng without a moment's delay.
Ming Rusheng stopped after coming out of the long corridor which had stresses of his blood that dripped from his hand and looked at his sister who was on the verge of crying.
"Driver will take you home in my car. Don't wait for me" he instructed and left.
Ming was sure her brother would not go home in such a condition and he wanted to be alone. It was more than enough for him that his sister had seen her in his weak condition that he never allowed before.
Lu Lian reached Ming Lan, "Where is he?"
Ming Lan pointed towards Ming Rusheng left and Lu Lian ran towards it.
Ming Lan knew only Lu Lian was the solution to his brother. From a distance, she saw Ming Rusheng and Lu Lian approaching him.
Lu Lian reached Ming Rusheng as she called, "Wait!"
Ming Rusheng didn't stop and continued to walk even though he knew who the person was. He was so angry that he didn't wish to stay there or he didn't know what he would do.
Lu Lian didn't give up and followed him. She ran past him and blocked his way. "Wait."
Ming Rusheng had no other choice but to stop. She looked at his hurt hand and held it while Ming Rusheng glared at her.
She looked at him and saw the anger boiling in his eyes and how hurt he was.
"You need to treat your hand," Lu Lian said. She also looked worried and hurt.
Ming Rusheng pulled his hand back, and left without saying a word while Lu Lian could only stare at him as she mumbled something.
