When Lu Lijun and Jiang Yuyan were busy handling the emergency, the Wen mansion was occupied and brightened with engagement preparations. The relatives arrived, and the entire Mansion looked busy.
"How are you feeling?" Wen Zac asked his sister as they sat with the other relatives who came to be part of her happiness.
"Well, a bit nervous," she replied.
"Don't worry," Wen Zac consoled her.
Thud!
Smash!
They heard the noise and everyone looked at it. Mrs. Wen happened to drop the stuff in her hand. The glass pot broke into pieces, and things inside scattered on the floor.
Feeling sad, she sat on the floor to check it, but then everyone heard the loud commanding voice.
"Don't touch it." That was Mr. Wen who hurried to her, but Mrs. Wen had already cut her finger by then.
Mr. Wen kneeled. "Don't we have servants in a home that you are doing it?"
"It's important ....."
"Nothing is important than you," Mr. Wen interrupted her and pulled out the handkerchief to cover the wound on her finger.
"It's just a small cut," Mrs. Wen said.
"No more word," Mr. Wen instructed coldly and looked towards the servant, "Bring the first aid box."
The servants were aware of how caring Mr. Wen was towards his wife. So even before he could ask, one servant was ready with the first aid box.
"He can never stop being over-possessive," Mr. Wen's sister commented, smiling and looking at the lovely couple.
"It's nothing new for us," commented another person as they enjoyed the show of affection by one cold and strict man.
"But it's only for his wife. We are just nobody," said Mr. Wen's younger brother.
"I can hear you all," Mr. Wen commented as he took his wife towards the sofa to sit. He sat next to her and treated that tiny wound.
Mrs. Wen could only feel embarrassed in front of relatives, but she knew her husband cared for no one. But she also felt fortunate to get such love from him.
"I forgot our father could be so soft," Liwei commented, smiling at her parents.
"As uncle said, it's only for our mother, so don't expect much from him," Wen Zac replied.
"Your mother is special to him. Though your father is annoying for us, he is the best husband one can have," Mr. Wen's sister commented.
"A cold man like him can turn like this only for the one he truly loves," Mr. Wen's brother commented.
Hearing this, Liwei thought about it, and her expressions changed. "The one he truly loves?" she mumbled.
Wen Zac nodded to what she said, "Hmm! Have you seen our father treat anyone else like this? Even we, his kids, are nobody to him when it comes to his wife. How fortunate our mother is."
Liwei continued staring at her parents and observed the way his father was so gentle to her mother.
"No wonder he wants you to have the same person like him as your husband. That's why he chose Lu Lijun," said Wen Zac. He was happy for his mother and the kind of love his parents had.
Hearing it, Liwei lost in the other world and turned silent. Just then, Mrs. Wen said, "Liwei, hurry up. You need to visit a spa too."
It pulled Liwei out of the daze, and she nodded lightly.
----------
They reached the venue that was booked in one of the luxurious hotels in the city. The rooms were arranged for the family to get ready there.
"We are here," said San Zemin.
Jiang Yuyan looked at Lu Lijun, "Go first. An Tian must be waiting for you."
"Are you not coming?" Lu Lijun asked.
"I have some important work. I'll be there soon," Jiang Yuyan replied.
Lu Lijun stepped out of the car with a heavy heart as San Zemin's one man came to him. Lu Lijun kept looking at the car, which disappeared from his sight.
Lu Lijun looked towards the hotel and didn't feel like entering it. He almost thought to leave, but just then, An Tian came there.
"I thought you might run away, so I waited here for you," said An Tian.
Lu Lijun felt caught off guard.
An Tian looked at his wristwatch. "We have two hours left till the ceremony started. Let's go."
Unwillingly Lu Lijun followed him. Just as they reached the hotel room, An Tian instructed. "Go have a shower and clear your mind first."
Lu Lijun looked at him questioningly, and An Tian answered. "You look tired because of work. If you take a shower, work things would be clear from your mind. Today is an important day, so it's good to have a clear mind."
Nodding lightly, Lu Lijun went to have a shower while An Tian sat on the couch, leisurely and mumbled, smiling lightly, "He won't last for long."
---------
Confused and anxious, Lu Lijun stepped into the shower. The moment he closed his eyes as the water ran along his body, all he thought about was Jiang Yuyan.
He shook his head to get rid of it, but his mind was not in his control. The emotions kept buried for long were ready to come out. The truth of his past, which his mind believed to be forgotten, was ready to surface as a fact of his life. What right did he have over her?
The previous night he almost ended up doing something that he should not, but it was getting difficult not to think about it. He wanted her in every way possible.
"What am I thinking about?"
In anger, he punched the bathroom wall in front of him. He didn't wish to think about her in another way, but his mind and body started acting on their own.
Images for her flashed in front of his, smiling, sad, sleeping and aloof, angry and everything. Everywhere in his mind, only she was there.
Controlling himself, Lu Lijun turned off the shower and came out of the bathroom, wrapped in a bathrobe.
He didn't look good, and An Tian noticed it but ignored it.
Just then, there was a knock on the door. Noah and Jake entered the room.
"Where is the handsome groom?" Noah asked as if he overlooked Lu Lijun.
Lu Lijun glared at him, and Noah spoke again, "Even in a bathrobe, you look breathtaking hawt. I bet you would be even alluring in the suit, and girls will go crazy over it."
Noah then looked at Jake, "Am I right?"
"You don't need to measure his hotness by changing your tone to hawt. Don't get too excited," Jake mocked him. He didn't like Noah to drool over Lu Lijun.
An Tian ignored these lovebirds and turned to Lu Lijun, "Your clothes are in the other room. You can change into it."
Lu Lijun turned to leave.
"I'll help him." Noah was about to follow Lu Lijun, but Jake stopped him. "He is not a kid to need your help. Stay here quietly."
"It's his important day. We need to help him," Noah countered.
"How about I help you wear your clothes?" Jake asked.
"No need," Noah countered and stayed quiet. The two were yet to get ready.
