Huo Quan’s expression darkened. “Is this what you really think?”

Li Miaoke nodded.

Huo Quan asked again, “No regrets?”

Li Miaoke’s grip on the corner of his shirt tightened. She answered, “No regrets.”

Li Miaoke pushed him away. Under Huo Quan’s gloomy gaze, she got up from Huo Quan’s embrace and walked to the side, then, she said slowly, “I’ve already said that we’re not suitable for each other. Whether it’s our status, age, or anything else, we’re not suitable for each other.” She finished what she wanted to say in one breath. “I don’t want to lose everything again.”

“Whether we’re suitable or not, it’s up to me.” Huo Quan’s gaze was locked on Li Miaoke. “If you think that you can escape from me with such a reason, then don’t think about it.”

Li Miaoke was stunned. Escape? What did he mean by escape? “No, Huo Quan, you misunderstood what I meant. What I meant was…”

“You’re just afraid that I’ll leave you in the future and you’ll lose everything.” Huo Quan interrupted her.
