After the rejection of not only Zhao Ling, but also Xia Lin, he thought to the past. The old madame also did the same thing. She really liked both girls, but she lost both. They both thought it was most likely because the girls were not from their world. The old madame gave up on the girls and so did the prince, but he knew that he would never truly be able to erase the feelings of loving that girl.
The old madame thought back to when they first moved here. Before her son moved here, his name was Wu Hiuling. It was the name his father had given him. After moving here though, every called him Prince Wu instead. As the time flies by, everybody forgot about that name and it was invisible.
Her child then came home one day, cloaked in dark red blood. When she saw it, she was about to faint, but he instead just told her he had killed people. She didn't know whether her son's blood was mixed in or not, but on that day, he forbid her from visiting him for a month. Only after a month did she get to visit him again.
After visiting him though, she knew that her son had changed. He was always cold, but he had never stared at people with such bloodshed. When she had went to his room, her entire group was female from young and old. She didn't know why, but she knew that he was looking at her servants with knifes in his eyes.
Ever since then, he began to hate women and did not like to get in contact with them. He also told her that his name was Wu Lim now and to not call him like she used to. She always called him Xiao Yun as it was the name she always called him by since the day he was born. She did call him by that name once to test if he would flip, but since he was too focused on the topic of Zhao Ling, he did hear that name and did not yell at her.
It took her half a month to find out the story as to why her son started distancing himself from women. It was because of a war that they had just won. But although they won, they lost a whole third of their army and it was all from the women assassins. The men that died were his comrades and ally, so seeing so many of them die in front of him had caused a deep scar.
She never asked about the battle, nor did she ever talk to him about women. It was only recently.
When she finally saw Zhao Ling being the woman her son loves, she naturally did not cross them. It took a long time for her son to finally fall in love with someone and try to continue the bloodline, but it did not last.
However, when she woke up today, she had a feeling something bad was going to happen. She just never knew that it would happen to her son.
Prince Wu's thoughts were similar to his mother's. He thought to how hard she had worked to keep the family surviving. She was always by herself, but when the battle occurred, he distanced himself from any women including his mother. He knew that that had hurt his mother, but he didn't know what to do to cover up the pain that had occurred.
He thought to how different it would be if he didn't lead the battle then. Maybe he would already be married. If he was, then would he still be able to meet her again? Or would they not have even seen each other's faces?
He shook his head and cleared his thoughts and dismissed himself from the room and headed back to his own room. The madame was left alone in her own deep thoughts.
When he was back at his room, he thought about everything that had happened. She told him that every thing would go back to how it was originally going to be, so he shouldn't sulk. He didn't understand what she meant. She had given Zhao Ling to Lu Ming, his rival. He didn't mind that Xia Lin left because the one he loved was Zhao Ling, not her.
However, he broke down from the pain of losing the one he loved. Xia Lin had told him that Zhao Ling did not have any memories from this world and her body was healed completely. Although she had her memories of being tortured by "Wei Qiang", she would be able to live much more happily.
He knew that it meant he would never be able to see Zhao Ling again. However, he wanted to meet Xia Lin again and ask her what she meant by everything was going back to its originality and he wanted to ask her many more questions for clarification, but he didn't know where she was. She disappeared as fast as she came.
He wanted to apologize for what happened on that night, but so many days had passed by and it seemed that she cleansed herself. She was not bothered by it and although the man next to her seemed to be bothered, he did not do anything.
Prince Wu, had many questions in his mind, although, right now, he should be forgetting the past and living the present and future...
