Adventures of Shii (3)

“...What is this?”

I started flying through the sky, looking for Shii, but then something strange reflected on the [map]...

The area they were in didn’t register on my map.

It was as if that area were a separate zone, and there was a blank spot on the map that wouldn’t fill in.

If I look at the place with my eyes, I should understand why it was like this... but I’ve never experienced anything like this before.

The blank area was right near where I had been just a moment ago.

As I could not see the blue dots of Shii and Sakuya, who were supposed to be my allies, it seemed likely that they were in that area.

“...Is that a dungeon too?” (Yuki)

There was no doubt that that area was a separate realm.

The fact that I still couldn’t see them even when I was above their markers meant that they were in a separate space, but within this area.

Since Lefi didn’t mention anything about it, then it meant even she didn’t notice that abnormal space.

Then, I guess the captain and the other people in this country didn’t notice it either. On the map, it was a blank area, but there were buildings lined up where it was as usual.

Space magic was a magic that could connect coordinate space, or sever the continuity of the space.

Shii and Sakuya have probably entered this special space through a backdoor, but I, on the other hand, failed to enter it. That meant the entrance through which I tried to enter it earlier was most likely the actual entrance.

...I thought I’d be able to find them right away, but this might be harder than I thought.

Anyway, I couldn’t do this alone. I think it would be better if Lefi... and Layla came as well.

“...But why is there something like this in the center of the capital?” (Yuki)

“So, nee-san got furious! Seeing this, Master ran away right away, but he was still caught and tied up! However, they get along really well! They might look like they’re arguing, but that’s how they communicate!” (Shii)

The skeleton shook its jaw and laughed, [Kukaka, I see. They’re a fun couple. I bet they’re lively every day.]

Shii, who was basically not afraid of anything and possessed the talent to quickly become friends with anyone, was able to enjoy a conversation with someone who looked scary without worrying about anything.

The monster skeleton had not had a conversation with anyone else in a long time. So, it was more pleasant than expected to have someone else there to exchange words with, and it was fun to listen to the small, cute Shii talking so earnestly.

Therefore, their casual conversations were very lively.
