Volume 2 Chapter 35: Cooking For His Grandparents
"Cookies?" Camelia was curious as to what Derek said.
Derek nodded, "Keith made it at home. It's as delicious as pudding." Both were delicious in his book.
It was a matter of preference.
Keith brought a jar from his storage, "It's something I baked. Please try some." Camelia and Lionel took out a cookie.
But he quickly hid the jar the next second, "No cookies for you guys."
"Son, don't do this."
"Keith!"
Sophia and Fira wanted to cry. But Keith shook his head, "No way. You guys need to learn restraint."
How could you eat cookies at night?
"It's crunchy! The texture is so interesting!" It was crunchy and tasted sweet, like pudding. Like that, everyone continued to eat the cookies and pudding.
"Grandmother, can I do the cooking for today?" Keith requested with an excited expression.
Camelia frowned, "Do you want to? You should get some rest after a long journey."
"Mother, trust me. You should taste Keith's cooking before you say anything." Sophia added. Camelia and Lionel were confused as to what she meant.
"Alright, you can use the kitchen."
"Alright!" Keith pumped his fist as he wanted to go all out today! The two grandparents stared at him, wondering what he had in store for them.
In the kitchen, Keith took out all the ingredients he needed. Aria, Fira, and Mir came to watch him.
"Mmhmm! I had help with Fira." Keith smiled and turned to Fira, who was stuffing her face.
"I see." Camelia looked at Sophia, who was eating. No wonder you weren't surprised. They had been eating such delicious food every single day.
She was a little jealous of her daughter. Like that, they continued to eat all the way to the night.
...
At night, Keith and Derek fell asleep. And now, the only people who were up were William, Sophia, Lionel, and Camelia. The four were drinking tea in the living room.
Camelia placed her cup down, "Sophia, how come you didn't say anything about this?" She had to question her daughter.
How could she hide something so delicious from them?
Lionel also frowned at his daughter. He had the same mind as his wife. Sophia smiled,
"I didn't because I wanted to surprise you."
"..." That was definitely a lie.
"Anyways, I don't think I need to ask if you like it." The answer was obvious.
"Keith is interesting," Camelia stated. She never heard of someone who could cook something so delicious.
"He's the cutest in the world," Sophia added with a proud smile.
Camelia said nothing, but Lionel questioned William, "Where is the Blizzard Owl?" Aria wasn't there with them.
"She's with Keith," William stated.
"Hmm?"
"Aria is closer to Keith than to him," Sophia stated.
The grandparents blinked when they heard that. It seemed there was more to talk about with the youngest.
