Volume 2 Chapter 39: Milk Tea

"It's been a while since I've last seen you, Sophia." Thalia smiled at Sophia.

Sophia nodded, "Yes, it's been a long time."

The last time they saw each other was Keith's 1st birthday. Sophia turned to Carolyn, "Your daughter has grown up."

"Greetings, Grand Duchess and Marchioness." The silver-haired princess greeted Camelia and Sophia.

"Just call me Aunty." Sophia smiled. Carolyn was a little shy as she hid behind Thalia.

But Thalia explained, "You have met the Marchioness before when you were little."

Carolyn tilted her head. She met with the Marchioness before?

Sophia chuckled, "She was only one at that time. She probably doesn't remember me."

Thalia nodded, "The only thing she remembers is the bunny."

"Ahh! The bunny!" When her mother said that, Carolyn shouted. Her expression turned red when she realized what she had done.

"So you do remember?" Sophia asked.

Carolyn nodded, "Mmhmm. I remember receiving Mr. Bunny from someone. He was really kind and caring." She couldn't remember who it was. But she remembered the person was kind and caring.

Thalia explained, "That was the Marchioness's son. He's the same age as you."

She turned to Sophia, "We shouldn't stand here any longer. We can't keep your guests waiting."

"Indeed." Like that, the four of them walked in.

"Milk in tea?" The noble women looked as if they heard something blasphemous. Camelia said nothing more as she sipped on the milk tea.

Thalia and Carolyn stared at the milk tea. Thalia picked up the cup and took a sip. The other noblewomen stared at the Queen, wondering what she thought about it.

"It's delicious!" Thalia couldn't help but exclaim.

Noticing the Queen's surprise, the others didn't hesitate to drink it. Thalia was right. It was delicious.

"The tea is so mellow!"

"There's no bitterness at all!"

"It's nice to drink!"

The noblewomen were all shocked by this. Camelia added, "If you want your milk tea to be sweeter, please add what is in the jar to your cup."

The ladies stared at the jar. Thalia was the first one to take the spoon out. A yellow, creamy substance dripped down from the spoon.

"What is this?"

"This is condensed milk," Sophia answered.

"Do I spoon some in and stir it?"

"Mmhmm." Thalia followed Sophia's word and stirred it in.

When she drank it again, "I prefer it like this."

It was much tastier.

The noblewomen followed as they continued to do so. Each one adjusted the amount to fit their needs. Sophia and Camelia gave some glances at one another,

"Bring out the snacks now." Camelia clapped her hands, and the maids were ready as they quickly brought out something for them to eat. But when she did, everyone was surprised.
