Volume 2 Chapter 53: Shopping
After some time, Carolyn was playing with Lily. The two became even closer than before!
"Here! You should wear this." Carolyn took off one of her hair clips. It was a flower pin. She placed it on Lily's head,
"You look so much cuter now."
"Po!" Lily licked Carolyn's face, thanking her.
"It seemed you guys have gotten really close with one another." Keith laughed.
"Mmhmm." Carolyn nodded. As they continued to play,
"It seems the bread is finished."
"Po!" When the four heard that, they screamed out. Keith laughed,
"Don't worry. I made enough for you guys as well." Keith took out a metal stick to take out the baking pan. The aroma smacked the group in the face. When the four snowballs smelled it, they jumped up and down even more!
"Let me put it in a basket first." Keith took out a wooden basket to put the bread on.
Keith turned to Carolyn, "Let's bring this to the dining table."
"Yes!" Carolyn nodded as she stared at the bread she made of Mir. As the two walked, the five animals followed after him. They placed the bread on the table,
"What happened to the two of you?" The rest of the family members were there. They were surprised that Keith and Carolyn were covered in flour.
"We were baking bread together."
"Kid, can I get the recipe for it?" Julius questioned. But Keith shook his head,
"I don't mind giving the recipe. But I don't think you will be able to make it." All of this required sugar. And they couldn't make it even if they tried.
"...I see." Julius looked downcasted when he heard that. While they were eating,
"Grandmother, can I go to the capital and buy some things?" Keith questioned.
"Hmm? Sure, we can go out," Camelia nodded.
"I want to go too!" Carolyn raised her hand. But Julius stated,
"Sorry. But you can't. We need to return home."
"Can I really not?"
"Ugh." Julius wanted to say something, but he couldn't. He was soft on his daughters.
But he didn't want to let her go this time. Julius stared at Keith. This child. He didn't want him to be near his daughters! But the food he made was delicious as well!
The two thoughts were fighting one another!
"Carolyn, you're brothers and sisters are worried if we don't return home," Thalia added.
"Alright." Carolyn looked downcasted. While that side talked, Camelia asked,
"Derek, do you want to come along with us?"
Derek nodded, "Sure."
