Volume 4: Chapter 74: Oh, I Have A Spirit As Well

"One and two!" Keith raised his hand back and forth, stretching himself. Once he finished, he was ready to leave the mansion. He spotted Diana sweeping the ground,

"Diana, I'm heading out."

"Have a safe day!" Diana smiled and quickly returned to cleaning. Keith pulled his cart to his regular spot. As he set it up again,

"Hey! The cart is opening up again!"

"I need to eat it!"

"Let's go!"

When Keith finished setting up his cart, customers made a line in front of it.

"Please tell me your order." Keith smiled as he started to cook! As he was doing that,

"Child, you should give up school and open your cart all the time." Keith looked up at the middle-aged man. Well, he looked middle-aged.

"Mr.Cedric, I still have to study." Keith chuckled. Cedric had been a regular at his cart.

"Tch! Sometimes, you have to give something up to pursue your passion!"

"Then you should tell your granddaughter that." Keith shook his head. From conversing with him, Keith knew Cedric had a granddaughter who enrolled in the academy.

"Heck no! My sweet granddaughter won't be dropping out! She's the prettiest angel out there!" Cedric stated with a smile.

"..." Keith and the others shook their heads. Idiot grandpa.

"Next on line!" Keith couldn't concentrate on him as he called for the next customer. As he continued to work,

"Dennis, have you tried the bread?" Keith had suggested to Dennis and his party to go to White Forest Bakery to get food.

"It's incredible!" Dennis was so happy that he went there.

Nina nodded, "Yes, it was respectable. There were dwarves there as well."

"That was probably Skar and the other workers." Skar and the other dwarves complained about wanting cheap and delicious food. So he told him about the bakery.

A sweet and savory taste of beef filled her mouth. She asked Keith, "Where did you learn to cook like this?"

"Skills," Keith stated with a proud expression. That caused Alfia to scrunch up. While Keith started to pack up his equipment again,

"Ngh!" He turned over to see Alfia fidgeting.

"Are you alright?"

"I'm- Kwak!" Before she could say it, something came out of her sleeves. Her eyes widened as she shouted, "You saw nothing!" She tried her best to hide it in her hand. But the thing in her hand didn't want to stay quiet.

"Aww, is that a spirit?" Keith questioned. His words caused her to frown.

"How do you know it's a spirit?"

"That's because I'm contracted with one." Hearing that, Alfia's caution lowered. As she softened, the spirit came out of her hand!

"Oh, it's a bird." Getting a closer look, the spirit was a small bird.

"This is my wind spirit."

"What a cutie?" Keith smiled as he patted the little spirit on the head. And when that happened, the little spirit jumped onto Keith's shoulder and started to peck his face.

"Aww, do you want some bread?" Keith took out a loaf and split it into pieces, allowing the little spirit to eat.

"...I'm surprised."

"Hmm?"

"My wind spirit doesn't like to talk with others."

"Really?" From what he saw, the spirit does like people.

"No, it doesn't even like to talk with Faelyn."

"Heh." Keith laughed.

"Well, I have to return now." Handing the spirit back, Keith rolled the cart away, leaving a stunned Alfia.
