Volume 5 Chapter 34: Airhead

Volume 5 Chapter 34: Airhead

The following day, Keith noticed Herrick had left ahead of them. This had been happening for quite some time as he didn't come down for breakfast. Keith shook his head. He's not going to grow if he acts like this.

While Keith thought, the rest ate their breakfast.

"I missed this so much!"

"No more burnt bread from Jack!"

"Hey!" Jack looked up. That word was the only thing he could say as he knew it was true!

"Come on, you guys are overreacting." Keith shook his head. Did you guys go through Armageddon? They were being too dramatic. That caused Nephele to look up this time,

"You wouldn't be saying this if you saw what we had!"

"What did you guys have?"

"Brunt toast, boiled meat, loaded with condensed milk," Sarah answered.

"..." Is that why we're running low on condensed milk. Keith usually kept it in a jar. And when he went to check, it was almost gone! Keith wanted to question them. However,

"Sorry for barging in," Alfia entered the dining room.

Keith smiled, "Hello, Alfia. Did you bring your spirits?"

"Mmhmm. Thank you for taking care of them."

"It's not me watching over them. That's all Diana and Nephele's doing." While he was gone, Diana and Nephele were the ones who supervised the two little spirits.

"Woof." "Kwak," The wolf and bird flew to Keith's side.

"Aww, I missed you guys as well." Keith patted the two spirit's head. It was really fluffy.

"..."

"Do you want to join us?"

"Is that alright?"

"Grab yourself a plate," Keith gestured.

"Thank you for the offer," Alfia said without hesitation as she sat down. She was now a regular on the island. Looking at the food on the table,

"Is this a new dish?"

"Have an apple." Keith felt bad for the elf as he handed her an apple.

"...Thank you," Faelyn sighed as she took the apple.

"I take it that you're an airhead?" Keith and the rest stared at Alfia. But the latter shook her head,

"I'm not an airhead. I just tend to forget some things." Alfia looked away.

"That's the definition of being an airhead." Keith shook his head.

"I don't want to hear that from you!" "Eh?"

"You ditched class on your own whims and ran around without a thought." Alfia retorted.

"That doesn't mean I'm an airhead, right?"

"Now that she said it," Carolyn thought about it.

"What?"

"You're really scatterbrained compared to others," Gabriel explained.

"Come on!"

"Alfia's right. Sometimes, you would stare off into space." Carolyn would see Keith staring out the window.

"..."

"See," A proud grin formed on Alfia's face. That caused Faelyn to scratch her head,

"Princess," Did she have to be happy about not being an airhead?

"Ugh," Keith groaned as they entered the classroom.

"I'm not as airheaded as you!" "You are!"

"You two are acting like children!" Carolyn shook her head. Faelyn tried to calm her down, "Princess, please."

"No way!"

"I'm not that absent-minded!"

"Gabriel, help-eh?" Carolyn turned her head to see Gabriel sitting far away, trying his best not to look at them.

"..." Are you serious?!
