Volume 5 Chapter 73: Elven Pride

Keith stretched his hands back and forth. As he did this, Alfia whispered into his ears, "Keith, are you alright with moving like this?" She was concerned. It was only a day since Keith and Alfia returned from the forest. Yet, the man was attending class like it was normal.

"It's fine. I've been hit with many things worse than this," Keith pumped his fist.

"..." What have you been through? Alfia was at a loss for words. The only thing she knew Keith had gone through was Nephele's cyclone. What else was there?

"Student Keith and Alfia! Can the two of you not whisper to one another in my class? I know you're all young and all, but let's not do that here." Shire smirked. Did he think he wouldn't notice? When their names were called, everyone turned.

Alfia quickly waved her hands, "No! It's nothing like that, Instructor!"

"..." Why is your face red? Alfia's cheeks were red as an apple.

"I, I-" Alfia didn't know what to say. She turned to Keith for help. But Keith gave her a look; what do you want me to do about it?! This was her fault. Not his.

"Okay, everyone will practice their magic," Shire continued with the class.

"When did you become so close with Alfia?" Carolyn frowned.

"Hmm? We're not that close." Keith scratched his head.

"No, you guys are really close," It wasn't from their conversation. Carolyn felt there was something much different about them.

"Is someone jealous?" Keith smirked.

"Huh?! Jealous?! Me?!" Carolyn's expression turned to that of a devil.

"Anyways, he's helping me with my magic," Alfia explained.

"Understood," Faelyn nodded as she headed to her room. As Alfia was about to leave,

"Where are you heading to, Sister?" Alfia turned around to see Iston. A frown formed on her face, "It's nothing you need to worry about."

"I just have to warn you before you go, Dear Sister. What you do reflects our family."

"And?"

"There are people you should be around, while there are those who would drag your reputation down."

"Who I hang out with is none of your concerns. It is my decision," Alfia declared. No one got to choose who her friends were.

"I understand that. However, I will not let my family's reputation be ruined by your antics," Iston declared as a smirk formed, "If it does, I will do something about it."

"Don't you dare!" Alfia's expression changed when she heard that.

"That all depends on you, Sister," Iston smirked.

"...You!" Alfia glared at him. However, she understood what kind of person he was.

"...Fine. Don't you dare do anything to Keith?"

"As long as you don't hold down our elven pride."
