Volume 6 Chapter 67: My Decision
Volume 6 Chapter 67: My Decision
"Senior Ange!" Keith waved his hand as he spotted Angelica sitting in her usual spot. She was sipping on a cup of coffee in Helen's shop.
"Helen, can I get a coffee?" "Understood." Helen got to work. As she did, Keith sat down across from Angelica.
"Senior Ange, you have a lot of paperwork, right?"
"Yeah-wait a moment! Why are you acting so nonchalant?!" Angelica's expression changed as she stared at this man. Keith acted like this was another regular day.
"Because it's a normal day." Keith tilted his head. It was a usual thing for the two. He would help her with paperwork while she treated him to a cup of coffee.
"But shouldn't you be surprised after what I said?"
"Said what?"
"That I'm the student council president?! Shouldn't you be, "Oh my goodness! Senior Ange is the president? She is so smart and pretty!" Shouldn't it be like that?"
"Eh? What kind of thoughts are going through your head?" I'm not some sideline character. Why would he act like that?
Angelica pouted, "Aren't you a little surprised by me being the president?" If it was someone else, they would have been awed and shocked. She was sure of this.
"Of course, I was a little surprised. But not so much because I already knew you were in the student council." It was easy to tell.
"Huh? You knew I was in the student council?"
"You know I've been helping you with your paperwork, right?" Keith raised the paper. He continued, "This type of work could only be found in the student council or the disciplinary committee." The papers focused on the betterment of the students. That could only be obtained by one or the other.
"Uwu," Angelica was embarrassed. How could she not realize it? The papers made it easy to figure it out.
"Though, I was surprised that you were the president." Being a member of the student council, Keith knew that for sure. But never did he expect her to be the student council president.
"However, even if I know you are the president, I don't care."
"Eh?"
"Senior Ange is still senior Ange. Nothing is going to change from that." Keith smiled. Being student council president didn't matter so much to him. Shocked that she was the president, yes. However, she was still his senior and friend.
"...You are so unfair," Angelica wanted to look away.
"..." Sakura was silent for a few seconds before questioning, "Then you decided to join the student council?" It was not a surprise Keith would join the other. Both were influential and had the same strength.
Surprisingly, Keith shook his head, "No, I didn't join the student council either. I also rejected Senior Ange's proposal."
"You rejected both of us?" Sakura's expression changed as she stared at him. His expression was calm and composed. There was no doubt about it.
"Mmhmm." Keith nodded.
"Why did you reject both of us?" This was a surprise. Sakura thought Keith would pick one of them for sure. But to choose neither?
Keith smiled, "It's because I don't want to do it."
"Eh?" "I have some things on my plate right now." As he explained, he pointed at his cart, "I have that to focus on." He wanted to focus on preparing food for everyone,
"And If I joined either one, I would probably half-heartedly do it." There would be too much on his plate, and he wouldn't be able to juggle all of them.
"I see." Sakura understood what he meant, "But I don't want to give up on you."
"Eh?" Now, it was Keith's turn to make a stunned expression.
"Giving up on you is too difficult." Keith's talent and shine were too difficult to leave on the table. If he didn't join any, that would be a problem.
"... That's what Ange said as well," Keith muttered. Are these two in sync? Angelica did the same thing. He had rejected her offer, and she said the same word as Sakura.
"She's right." Sakura nodded, "There's no way we can give up on someone like you."
"..." Come on. Keith didn't know whether to laugh or cry in this situation. Sakura smiled, "Prepare yourself."
"..." Keith wanted to throw himself out the window.
...
While Keith was having a breakdown, Kaiser worked on some paperwork. And we're done. He was working on the expulsion of Mork and the other adventurers.
"Vice-guildmaster! We have a situation!" A receptionist entered the office.
"Hmm? What's the matter?"
"We confirmed an unexplored dungeon!"
"What?!"
