Volume 6 Chapter 71: I Want You To Go
When Keith returned home, the others hounded him again with questions. Keith took a big sigh, "Come on, guys! Do you really have to question me every time this happens?!" At this point, this was a routine!
"That's because you have such a tight lip!" "We need to question you to get some answers!" The others weren't having that! Keith would keep it to his grave if they didn't ask!
While they continued questioning him, Diana entered the room and said, "Keith, you got a letter."
"Hmm? Is it from my family?" William had been sending him letters. Well, it was mostly Leon and Laura talking about things. But Mir was a faster messenger. He would talk about them.
"No, it's not from your family. It's from the adventurer's guild."
"From the guild?" This was a surprise. The guild usually didn't hand letters to people. Keith opened the letter, and the others looked over his shoulders.
"I see."
...
"Madison," Keith arrived at the guild hall the next day. Heading to Madison, "What do you guys need me for?" What does the guild want from me? The letter had told him to arrive at the guild tomorrow.
Madison nodded, "The vice-guildmaster said he wanted to meet with you." Her expression turned stern, "And from how he said it, it seemed this situation was serious."
"I see," Keith nodded as he followed Madison. The two arrived in front of a door. Knocking on the door,
"Who is it?"
Even if he didn't see Keith in action, he heard rumors. The ability to use a grand-level magic. His rank was at least B.
"Regarding skill and calmness, you are definitely not in C-rank." Keith's handling of Mork and the others was different. He kept a level head under accusation and forced the truth out.
"I see." Keith nodded.
"The exploration's goal is to determine the level of the dungeon." That was the main priority. If they couldn't figure it out, they could accidentally send low-level adventurers to their deaths.
"And you can keep anything you obtained from the dungeon as well."
"I still have to think about this." Keith shook his head. There was no way he could decide when thrown such crazy information.
Kaiser wasn't mad but looked understanding. "I understand. Please take some time to think about this. We'll be heading out in a week."
"I understand." Keith nodded as he left the office. Hearing his footsteps get further away,
"What do you think about him?" Kaiser asked.
"The kid got a good head on his shoulders." A rugged demon kin came out from the side door, "He wasn't charmed by the loot or the fame."
"If he was, then I wouldn't be curious about him." A chuckle came out of Kaiser. It was a test to see what kind of character Keith had. Kaiser had added the loot part at the end to test Keith. Fame and fortune were important. However, that should be the secondary.
"But having someone like that on the expedition would be nice." "I will be counting on you if he joins." Kaiser smiled.
"Don't worry, I will." The man nodded as he walked out of the room.
