Volume 6.5 Chapter 63: Smoking
Volume 6.5 Chapter 63: Smoking
"Sorry about waking you up so early in the morning, Arlo." Keith scratched as he apologized. The two woke up early in the morning. Scratch that; the two had woken up before the sun had come up! It was still dark.
Arlo shook his head, "It's fine, Leader. I'm actually excited as well." Once Keith had talked about building it, he was eager to try.
"What are we going to make?" Yôur favorite stories at novelhall.com
"It's nothing serious. We're going to make a smoker."
"A smoker?"
"Yep, yep. I'm going to use smoke to cook the food." That was something Keith wanted to do. Smoked meat was delicious; he knew he needed to make it one day.
"Understood, how should we build it?" Arlo pumped his fist.
"Do you need my help?" Keith and Arlo jolted when they saw Udine behind them.
"Udine, why are you up?" He didn't peg her to be a light sleeper. She would sleep outside multiple times. She was more of a sloth.
"I want to see."
"Hmm?"
"I want to see what you're building,"
"I see," So the food got to you. A chuckle came from Keith's mouth, "There's nothing you can do." Thinking about it, what could Udine be good at? He really didn't know whether or not she could build. Yet, his hand shook. I shouldn't give her a hammer. Every pore on his body told him not to give this spirit a hammer.
The moment Keith said this, Udine nodded. However, Keith and Arlo could tell she was disheartened. Do you really want to help out that much? Arlo nudged Keith, asking him to do something.
Keith coughed before he said, "Actually, there is something you can help me with."
"Do we have to make so much?" Udine muttered. The amount of meat Keith had shoved in was more than enough to feed a family of 20!
Keith and Arlo gave her a strange look, "Grandpa Cadmus.""Principal." One name came out of the two's mouths. That word was enough to make the scene quiet. Cadmus eating was quite the sight. It was usually him shoving everything possible down his mouth.
"How long do we have to wait for this to be completed?"
"2-6 hours for the bacon." Keith thought about it. It would probably take less for the others.
"What?"
"Yeah, this cooking method takes a lot of time." That was why he woke up so early.
"Alright!" Arlo nodded.
Keith grinned as he patted his head, "Why can't others be like you and wait a bit." The others would go in even when he wasn't done cooking. Arlo was one of the people who patiently waited for it to be done!
"It's because everyone loves your cooking." Arlo chuckled.
"You mean crazed." Keith sighed. They were not normal reactions. They looked like a pack of wolves.
"..."
"What's the matter, Udine?"
"...I want head pats."
