v2 Chapter 12: runaway dragon

Name:A Magical Hogwarts Author:Crows
After everyone entered Gringotts, two goblins bowed to them and led them into the tall marble hall.

There were about a hundred or so fairies sitting on high stools behind a long line of counters, some weighing coins with copper scales, and some examining gems with eyepieces, while scrambling to register on the large ledger.

There are countless doors in the hall, leading to different places, and many fairies guide people to enter and exit these doors.

Several people walked towards an older goblin who was examining a thick gold coin through the lens.

The goblin threw the gold coin in her hand aside and said hello to William.

Obviously, with William being awarded the Merlin Medal, he has already gained a lot of popularity in the UK.

"I need to set up a private treasury." William said directly.

"Oh, I don't know what price Mr. Stark is going to make?" The goblin stood up, and his tone became more and more enthusiastic.

"Our lowest-priced treasury only needs two hundred Galleons, a slightly better one requires six hundred Galleons, and the more expensive one is a thousand Galleons, or even two thousand Galleons..."

He has already figured out William's details, knowing that the Merlin Second Class Medal only rewards 2,000 Galleons.

"Then let's get the cheapest one." William said indifferently.

He only has 2,000 Galleons, so he can't make such an expensive one. After all, the money has to be spent on the handle of the knife.

"Okay." The elder goblin's service attitude was very good, and there was no such thing as a slight look because William handled the cheapest treasury.

He handed over a small golden key and said, "Mr. Stark, please come with me, and I will take you to your vault." ?

The elder goblin led them through a door, a narrow stone corridor illuminated by burning torches.

The stone corridor is a steep downhill with a small railway below. The goblin blew a whistle, and two carts dashed toward them along the railroad.

The people divided into two teams and climbed into the car, and they rushed to a deeper place under the ground. After passing through an underground lake, huge stalactites hung down from the top of the cave, and huge stalagmites grew on the ground.

They galloped forward along the maze-like winding corridors, the little carts that clicked as if they knew the way, and there was no need for goblins to drive.

The icy air whizzed past, blowing everyone's eyes.

William held his wand and poked it three times in a row, and a windshield appeared in front of several people.

The goblin didn't seem to be affected by the cold wind, and stared straight ahead with eyes as big as light bulbs.

William would like to ask: If you don't blink your eyes for so long, why are your eyes dry?

The car drove for about 20 minutes, and a few people stopped in front of a door. The old goblin put the golden key body at the key hole and inserted it, and then slowly pushed it in, stuffing the entire key body into the hole.

The door opens automatically without turning the key.

Everyone walked in, the door slammed shut behind them, and inside was a small vault.

"What will happen to the private vault if no one comes to withdraw money for a long time?" Hermione asked curiously.

"It depends on the level of the vault." The old goblin replied.

"The cheapest vault, we can only keep it for two years and then clean it up. If no one comes to renew the contract within two years, we will clean up all the property in Gringotts."

The so-called clean-up is actually at the disposal of fairies.

"As the price increases, the retention period of the vault will increase, of course..." The old goblin smiled: "There is also a kind of vault, where the keys will be passed down from generation to generation, and the contents inside will never be cleaned up."

"And this kind of vault?"

"Yes, those are very expensive prices, and generally only those ancient families can afford them."

William found many similarities between Gringotts and Swiss banks.

Gringotts is not bound by the Ministry of Magic. Even if a wizard commits a crime, the Ministry of Magic has no right to take away the private property in the Gringotts vault.

Swiss banks are also world-renowned for their good secrecy.

Because the stored items are protected by the privacy law from police inspection, and only need to open a digital account when storing, and do not need to register the name of the depositor, therefore, those criminals or high-ranking officials can rest easy, do not have to worry about the safety of property, and do not have to be afraid Suddenly a huge amount of unidentified property was found.

Swiss bank digital accounts, like Gringotts keys, are often passed down from generation to generation as a legacy.

William also plans to build a permanent treasury to pass on as a legacy, but now he can only afford the cheapest.

William didn't think too much, he put Galleon in the vault, only took four hundred and put it in a small bag.

"Let's go," he said.

Everyone was disappointed that they didn't see the legendary fire dragon guarding the treasury.

The ride of the car is not as comfortable as the roller coaster in the amusement park. I don't want to see the fire dragon. Who came to this ghost place?

But at this moment, William asked, "Did you feel the vibration?"

"It looks like an earthquake," Hermione said.

"It's impossible!" the old goblin exclaimed.

"The Gringotts vault is buried 20,000 meters underground, protected by a lot of magic spells, and there has never been an earthquake for thousands of years!"

He was filled with righteous indignation, as if William was slandering the famous brand of Gringotts.

No one spoke. William put a gold Galleon on the table, and the Galleon trembled slightly on the table.

Roy and the others were all pale, and there was no trace of the leisurely mood that they wanted to see the fire dragon before!

This place is located deep underground. If an earthquake does happen and it is buried underneath, will it not be crushed into slag?

"Come on!" William shouted loudly.

Everyone hurriedly left the vault, and a voice suddenly roared from the depths of the ground. From far to near, it became clearer and terrifying.

"It's the voice of the dragon," said the old goblin.

"Come on." Several people hurriedly returned to the car. The car quickly ran along the corridor and toward the hall, but gravel kept falling from the cave.

Bang!

A boulder fell on the track and completely blocked the road ahead. Because the speed of the car was too fast, the old goblin had no time to brake, and the car hit the stone directly.

The cart slanted and overturned, and everyone was thrown out of the car.

The cart hit the wall of the corridor and broke into pieces. William grabbed his wand and said loudly, "Shock Absorbing Charm!"

A blue light enveloped everyone, and everyone was sliding in mid-air, falling to the stone ground as if they had no weight, and they didn't hurt at all.

"What happened?" Lyanna asked in horror.

"I don't know..." Before William finished speaking, he suddenly looked in a certain direction.

The frightening scene made everyone present feel terrified.

A gigantic fire dragon rammed all the way from the depths of the cave, frantically smashing the stalactite hill that was more than ten meters long.

The fire dragon finally collided with a private treasury, and the huge bearing stone was instantly shattered. A private treasury was also vulnerable and was crushed into powder, like firecrackers in the hands of a child.

Everyone took a breath of cold air.

They finally saw the fire dragon... it was still close.

The value of these two hundred gold Galleons!
