Quest

I will need to carefully judge her health based on her injuries which will be slightly difficult but not impossible if I use logic. Closing the system I flip over the two cooking Zigzagoons so the other side could cook evenly as well. A cool breeze blows through the mouth of the cave regulating the temperature a bit and making it slightly more comfortable. I won't lie and say that my first day in this world has been pleasant since I've been sweating from the heat and humidity all day and the fire certainly wasn't helping.-

"Tomorrow we need to find a source of water and maybe some berries." I said to Gaia who merely grunts and nods in agreement. I spent the next hour after that cooking up the last two Zigzagoon while Gaia blissfully munched on the two I had just finished. I was choosing to ignore the wretched state of my clothing that was sweat soaked and charred from having gotten struck by lightning for now since there was nothing I could do about it. I had thought about using the Zigzagoon skins but I knew literally nothing about tanning hides and didn't feel like trying to reinvent the wheel for a thick pair of leather pants.-

Once the food was done I handed it over to Gaia before walking to the back of the cave where it was cooler and laying down with the bag as a makeshift pillow. There was no point in me staying awake since I had nothing to do so I closed my eyes and slowly sang out the ABC's in common to better familiarize myself with them as I drifted to sleep. Exhaustion quickly took me and so it was I ended my first day in this strange new world of mine.-

It was a fitful sleep as I wasn't used to sleeping on hard uneven stone and couldn't get comfortable. At the very least though I did get some rest so when I woke up as the sun rose the next day with various aches I wasn't also exhausted. Gaia had apparently decided to sleep with her back blocking most of the entrance of the cave. I was touched by her concern over my safety despite having only just met yesterday and wondered if this was what it meant to be truly bonded with a pokemon.-

The fire had burned down and was just a smoldering pile of ashes at the moment so I added some more pine needles and sticks before bringing it back to life. Sure I didn't plan to use it at all but this way when we get back I can just revive the fire again instead of having to totally make a new one. Pressing my hand on Gaia's sleeping torso I shook her gently to wake her up. "Hey up and at em Gaia." I said as she began to stir awake. She sat up and yawned loudly making me chuckle before doing what I can only describe as a cat stretch that caused her stony exterior to creak slightly.-

Rewards: Barefoot adaptation , Legal I.D(optional) , 1x random skill ticket(Optional)]

I was slightly caught off guard by this random system notification but after reading it fully I grinned widely. "New plan Gaia!" I say loudly to get her attention. She looks at me slightly confused so I explain myself. "We are not only going to find water and berries but we are also going to get you some training while we are at it." I say with a grin. She looks excited after I say that "Larvitar!" she cries out and nod. She doubles her speed and while it's a bit painful for my feet I also keep up.-

We are soon confronted by a few different Zigzagoon but Gaia mows through them like the tank she is reaching level 6 in the process. Soon enough I see a large bush in the distance to our right that had several large blue fruits on it that I recognize as oran berries. "Gaia there's some berries over there!" I said excitedly pointing the bush out. She turned immediately and zeroed her sight in on the berry bush and nodded "Lar!" she cried and eagerly started to head over to the bush.-

We got about halfway there when a group of five grey canine creatures with long lower canines and black fur on their feet appeared snarling aggressively. "You're outnumbered , Iron defense followed by sandstorm!" I called out and Gaia squatted slightly and a grey metallic shine rose from her carapace for a moment before she roared which caused a brown energy to come from her kicking up a cloud of swirling sand that covered her and the five Poochyena. The pack of Poochyena wasn't just planning on sitting there and allowing her to do whatever she wanted however as they charged towards her with a white energy on them and crashed into her.-

Gaia grunted when they struck her with what I had to assume was tackle and her carapace grew slightly scratched to indicate some minor damage in those spots. The sandstorm got to them after that as the entire pack sneezed as they apparently breathed in the sand. A novice level sandstorm was obviously not very damaging but that wasn't why I had her use the move. "Wait for them to get close and Bite them!" I called out and Gaia hunkered down. Despite knowing my plan there was nothing the pack could do if they wanted to end this battle save play along.
