The system was kind enough to recognize the league mission as a genuine quest and so I could see what my rewards were for it and I was dumbfounded. To say they were generous would be an understatement and that last possible reward had me super fucking curious as this was the first time I didn't actually know what I would get for doing something. Even more so I understood that the high reward came from the fact that the risk to myself was equally high. Not gonna lie and say I wasn't eager to throw myself into that danger either as my ambition would be a joke if I couldn't handle this much adversity.-
'A shiny Milotic huh? Maybe it was owned by a human in the past that mistreated it?' I pondered over the information seriously. It was honestly hard to imagine a Milotic that was innately aggressive as the species was highly peaceful to the point of going out of it's way to try and calm two opponents fighting normally. Everything about this situation screamed oddity to me and even without the unknown reward I would try and seek out whatever it was that drove such a peaceful species to violence.-
Don't mistake peaceful for weak though as while the species preferred to solve their problems without violence they could dish it out just as well as anything else if they needed to. The reason I was in luck about it though was thanks to Rune being a hard counter top the Milotic since the species was water type exclusively and heavily utilized moves of that type as well. In addition the species almost always lived in lakes or ponds since rivers and seas tended to be very violent competition wise.-
This meant that for the most part this hoard leader should be heavily limited movement wise and thus easy to rain attacks down on. With this in mind i walked into Slateport and headed for the nearest ingredient store. I wanted to buy some things to make a type of narcotic potion to send the hoard to sleep or at the very least make them inattentive from drowsiness so that I could slip by peacefully and go straight for the hoard leader. If it wasn't for the optional objective to keep the casualties bellow forty percent I would probably just have my team carve a bloody path to the leader for the levels it would likely give. -
One on one battles in a semi controlled manner were all well and good for increasing the skill and power of ones pokemon but I knew for a fact that exposing them to a whole new type of combat would give them a huge boost in levels at a rapid rate until they adjusted to it. Pokemon levels were after all a mix of physical power , skill and experience so a new combat experience was nothing but beneficial.-
Still with that idea totally out I chose to leverage my alchemy skill and create a knockout potion that I could aerosolize into a mist to put the majority of the hoard to sleep assuming it wasn't mostly consisted of pokemon that didn't sleep to begin with or could resist it. I bought some dream seeds , nightmare shrooms , illusion grass and Drowsee tears to craft this potion. The first three were plants native to this world that were commonly used create sleep medicine while the last was the literal tears of the pokemon Drowsee that innately held ties to dreams and sleep.Fôll0w current novÊls on n/o/(v)/3l/b((in).(co/m)
