Relic
I walked through the village after leaving Eaguns house with a plan in mind to prepare for my trip to the forests center. The air was fresh and clean while there was an pleasant humidity that reminded me of Hoenn and I admit I already missed the place a little. To be more specific I missed the friends I made when I was there. I went from having constant contact with them to radio silence in an instant and it was disorienting. I kept wanting to call Birch and talk about this region and all the interesting things I found here but that simply wasn't possible.-
I wasn't too bothered by it but it was a bit like an itch that I couldn't scratch and was slightly annoying. Anyways the grass flattened beneath my feet as I walked and soon I entered the cave near Eaguns house that led to the relic that had apparently been blessed by the Celebi. The cave itself wasn't anything special as it was just brown stone with green moss on it and a stream of clear water flowing from the other side.-
I felt the relic before I saw it as my aura senses simply couldn't miss the massive amount of energy contained within it. As I walked out of the cave I shuddered slightly as the aura flowed over me. It was a pure and peaceful sensation that gave the view even more impact. To anyone without aura or inside knowledge the strange looking pillar of stone like a large cylindrical jenga tower at the center of the stone platform would be thought of as the relic, this was wrong. The true relic was the platform itself that looked like an abstract art piece.-
The stone pillar in the center was merely a focusing point of the energy housed within the platform, a bit like the barrel of a gun in fact. 'Who made this thing, theres no record of it in my aura skill yet it clearly uses the stuff?' I pondered in confusion. I quickly got a theory worked out but I needed to test something before I could confirm it. Approaching the pillar at the center of the platform I placed my hand there and immediately the thing lit up in a bright green color. Energy poured into the pillar and shot up my arm but I made no move to withdraw my hand.-
"Whether it is malignant or benign depends entirely on the context of the situation. Take this relic for example, it forces the one under it's power to relive all their most positive memories thus chasing away the negative emotions within them and quelling any dark impulses in the process. As you should be able to tell from this information there is nothing evil about this as you have to be willing to accept the process for it to work fully. Despite this however my nature is unaffected so if you were to expose an evil entity to this relic all it would accomplish was to put them in a good mood temporarily, like getting high." I explained calmly.-
"I see, so the rumored purification abilities of this relic are false then." Eagun said with a sigh. "Perhaps so but it's the closest thing you'll likely find without bothering a legendary which is worth quite a lot in my opinion." I said with a smile. "I'm curious though, how did you get the stone to activate to begin with? People from this village have visited and touched the stone from many years yet this is the first time the relic has activated. Why?" he asked curiously.-
"If my theory holds correct this relic wasn't made for normal people or pokemon but rather for aura masters like myself. My kind are especially susceptible to negative emotions and impulses due to us being so in tune with the emotions and feel of the life energy around us. This relic was likely meant to cleanse our minds of this influence if it started to cause us problems which is why I was able to activate the relic with ease using my aura. Basically if you don't actively expel aura in a consistent manner into the relic it won't activate." I said honestly.-
"You are an aura master?" Eagun asked in surprise. "I am indeed though my situation is rather unique compared to the normal members of my kind so best to take my abilities with a grain of salt rather than the absolute truth. Interestingly I actually met another aura master, fledgling though she was not long ago in Phenac. A pure hearted young woman by the name of Rui." I said casually. "Rui? Red hair blue eyes, about twentyish?" Eagun asked with an odd look. "That does sound correct , are you familiar with her?" I asked surprised.
