"This is it for today, students," Avendial said, taking out his gloves. He glanced towards the class, where several students were keenly looking at him as he had just finished the sculpture class.

Putting his gloves aside, he nodded before glancing in the direction where he noticed that both Amrita and Lin were absent.
This clearly meant that after Lin was hit in his solar plexus, which is one of the critical hit zones for a person, he must have been admitted to medical supervision.
Amrita, given her personality, would have followed her friend to check on him, making things not go the way Avendial wanted.
Initially, he had anticipated getting some free time with Amrita in the absence of Lin, at least in the classroom.
But her behavior seemed to provide a valid signal regarding her personality, which tended towards kindness and sympathy.
In his past life, Avendial was not able to see through others' titles or status, given he didn't have access to any awakener possessing that ability, just like Aria, who was already dead.
So, without confirming it, he classified those who showed kindness in the category of heroines, mostly based on their backstories, where they got whatever they desired and seemed to possess a kind of luck.
Meanwhile, he categorized those who suffered and had backstories similar to his in the villainess category.
He was not completely sure, as many times his assumptions were wrong, but this strategy had provided him profit in the long run.
This was likely how he could use those holding the title of heroine as meat shields. Given their luck, they would most likely survive.
This is why he preferred to have at least one beside him in case of danger.
Though, of course, several times they were just sacrificed, making him understand that his judgment was wrong. But now, at least with Aria on his side, things would be easier.
But...
'Was it due to earlier?' Avendial glanced around the students who were preparing to stand, noticing how Aria, who sat among them, seemed lost in thought while clearly shocked for some reason, prompting him to narrow his gaze as he tried to understand what title she saw from Aecilia that horrified her so much.
Instead of leaving the class, Avendial chose to wait and directly inquire, not holding it in, given he was also curious about what kind of title Aecilia could hold.

In one of the Elite Academy's buildings dedicated to the Department of Medical Sciences, a medical infirmary could also be found, specially prepared for the students who get injured or have some issues within the confines of Elite Academy.
Inside one of the rooms here, the design could be compared to a very high-quality hospital, where two beds were laid out. A young man with pink hair lay on one of the beds, while a woman was seated at a nearby table, clasping her hands.
"Wh-why did the professor hit you?" Amrita looked towards Lin's exhausted face, noticing his groans and the intense pain he was in, likely a result of how Professor Aven had struck him in the abdomen, leading others to take him inside the infirmary.
After hearing about this incident, Amrita had instantly rushed to the medical infirmary to check on Lin's condition.
Given that he was physically fit and known for his athletic physique, it was a big deal for her to find out that he had to be admitted due to injuries.
"....M-maybe for what happened yesterday," Lin responded, looking into Amrita's anxious gaze. He felt relieved that she was talking to him, prompting him to act as if it wasn't his fault, knowing that by showing this pitiful side of him, he might be able to get her attention and return to how they usually conversed. "He must be angry—"
Before he could complete his sentence, a loud woman's voice suddenly reverberated in the room, where only the two of them were present.
"Lin! You bastard!"
'!?'
"What?" Amrita, hearing someone call Lin's name and curse him, turned to see how two of Aria's friends were supporting her while the third glared at Lin, appearing to curse him for some reason.
Even Professor Aven was standing behind them; given his height, his face was visible, directed towards her with a cold gaze.
