Chapter 61: A Date and the Four Kings

Chapter 61: A Date and the Four Kings

My feet had carried me to the firelink shrine somehow despite my absent-mindedness. I knew I could use lordvessel and my abilities to warp myself there but the journeys here felt relaxing. But thoughts still lingered heavily on my mind.

I saw firsthand how I could actually make good endings here. Sure it took a lot of pain and torture to do so but it was a happy ending regardless. I am happy for them that's for sure but what's this empty void I feel inside?

/Perhaps you still held onto a sliver of hope that a happy ending remained for you as well? Do you honestly think you deserve one? Maybe you envy their happiness?/

I didn't even notice I arrived at the shrine, just stood over one of the ledges overlooking the world below. The reality of my situation dawned on me once again. Perhaps I should-

Before my downward spiral could turn into a nuclear rage I felt a large and soft pair of arms wrap around my person. A large bust leaning against my back.

''Welcome back Mr. Undead.''

''Yeah, I'm back Pris.''

I leaned back into Priscilla's hug, enjoying her softness before she spoke.

''Mr. Undead do you think we could visit somewhere you like? T-together I mean. I- I would really like to see more of this world if you don't mind.''

*Chuckle*

''Sure.''

''Thank you Mr. Undead!''

It's weird how she calls me mister when she is probably more than a several dozen times older than me but I don't mind it much. Patting her head I grabbed her hand and led her through Lordran. And by that I meant I warped to the undead burg bonfire because there isn't a way in hell she is fitting in an aqueduct.

We eventually reached where I met Solaire, the only good-looking place I knew that wasn't in Anor Londo. We both sat on the fence as we watched the setting sun.

It was noon a year ago. Now it was setting.

It was beautiful, and Priscilla seemed to like it very much. Her feet were swinging and her tail was wagging. While I was static, my shoulders sagged as I watched the sunset.

But then suddenly I felt her tail wrap around my waist. And judging by the tomato-colored look on her face it seemed Priscilla didn't expect this either. But she nestled closer to me.

''I Thank thee for letting me see this Mr. Undead. But could I ask thee something?''

''Shoot.''

She twiddled her thumbs and looked away before gaining a more confident posture and looking me in the visor.

''Could thee please share with me what ails your mind?''

''Don't worry about it.'' /I'm fine/

She looked annoyed at that. /DONT MAKE THAT FACE AT ME/ nove(l)bi(n.)com

But instead of pushing it further she got off the railing and got behind my back, hugging me and pushing the back of my helmet into her bust.

''Mr. Undead, I know it is hard to share, but please? If you can I would like to hear it.''

''Thou art the one who saved me from my cold and lonely prison and showed me warmth for the first time in my life.''

Her grip over me tightened.

''I want to share with thee even a fraction of the warmth thou has brought me. Please, allow me to at least hear of your burdens. Thee asked me to accompany thee on thou journey did thee not? Then please allow thy faithful companion to hear your troubles.''

-_-_-

Priscilla didn't expect an answer but she was fine with that, she would stick by his side no matter what. He was the man who saved her and showed her the world. She would try to help him in any way she could. She would wait however long he needed to open up. But then she heard a sigh.

A clicking sound was heard as he removed the helmet from his head and sent it to the inventory. Pitch black chest length hair cascading down. Although Priscilla couldn't see his face, she didn't need to. Just feeling the direct warmth of his person without the helmet against her chest made her feel warmer than ever.

Of course, the enemies here weren't a challenge to me. If I wanted to kill them the lazy way I just needed to draw a line in the air in front of myself to release a line of superheated flame that bisected everything using armageddon blade.

But this was for relaxation so I didn't use Umbra or Armageddon Blade for this. Only a +15 straight sword and my intermediate weapon mastery. And sometimes my bare hand for the satisfaction of putting my hand through a darkwraiths ugly face.

The most fun thing was creating a bubble with emit force and watch my foes go flying. And the only time I use armageddon blade was to cremate the pile of disgusting pale rotten drowned bodies crowding the streets.

Yeah, I turned every last one of them to ash and then scattered them using force.

This place definitely showed me a new form of horror with the ghosts and the mound of corpses. All I know for certain is though...

/THE PRIMORDIAL SERPENTS ARE FUCKING DEAD/

With that conclusion, I moved on to the well-like structure that contained the 4 stooges. As I stood over the gaping hole that lead to the abyss, a stupid thought came to my mind. I stood over the edge rigidly before taking a step forward and falling down.

I landed with a soft poof, somehow the abyss didn't bother me. In fact, it seemed to even welcome my existence, I felt my umbra skill become stronger in this presence and my affinity leveled up.

[ Affinity lv.3 -> Affinity lv.4 ]

Just as I was completely lost in thought and was playing with the abyss like it was playdough, the 4 stupid idiots emerged from their corner. They looked so goofy with the horns in their eyes, their lanky stretched-out bodies, and their membrane-like blades.

''Fucking amateurs.''

That's what they were, greedy losers who succumbed to their own depravity and got ravaged by the darksoul inside them. Wantonly abusing their power.

I needed to teach these LOSERS a lesson it seemed.

''Check this shit."

I halted their movements by using umbra and affinity to bind them to the abyss. Then brought out my trusty weapon Deadman's Blade. Black flames converged on my weapon as I raised it high above my head. With the support of the abyss, the flames grew over 20 meters.

''{Abyssal Armageddon Blade}!!!''

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*

The black and blue flame descended, obliterating the four kings and shaking the entirety of the abyss.

[VICTORY ACHIEVED]

...

After having run my errands I warped back to the shrine for once, feeling too lazy to make my way back up the abyss. But after I warped back I was met with something unexpected.

Quelaan was in the shrine next to Priscilla.
