Chapter 63: You are a wizard John!

Chapter 63: You are a wizard John!

'I don't think one man can experience further euphoria than this. This makes being thrown into Lordran almost worth it.'

I think I have received a lot of character development these days. I mean, I am wearing actual clothes now! Albeit ones made by treating Taurus demon fur into workable fabric and then sewing it into clothes that resembled modern ones. And then using some BLACK MAGIC I turned the clothes black. Like my soul.

Comfy and strong, just how I like it. But my new clothes that dripped with the absolute peak of style weren't the reason for my happiness. No, I was doing something that surpassed all other worldly enjoyments.

I was enjoying Priscilla's fluffy tail.

When I say enjoying I mean, enjoying. My head was completely buried in her fluffy tail as my hands stroked her tail, enjoying it immensely. Hell, I even removed my callouses using transformation temporarily. This thing was absolutely addicting when I don't wear my armor.

Who needs therapy when the fluffy tail just exists?

''Haah... Haah...''

Although Priscilla was breathing pretty heavily as I caressed her tail, probably because of embarrassment or something. Though when I asked if I should stop she answered yes incredibly quickly. Sus. But she seemed to enjoy it as well, after all, I DID have 99 dexterity.

After a while of enjoying the immense softness I eventually laid my head on her lap and tail as I brought out the book, I got as the quest reward. While I was doing that Quelaan went off to the other corner of the shrine to do her new hobby.

Gardening.

It made sense with her personality to pursue gardening, to be honest. What with her affinity to life thanks to pyromancy and stuff. I'm just glad she found something to do other than to receive head pats from me.

The book was... considerably neater than I expected. I half expected to get a book held together by rags and tissues, maybe even stained with several body fluids. But no, the book was pristine light blue cover with gold trimmings it was very, very thick. Over 500 - 600 pages probably. Regardless, snuggling up to Priscilla further I started reading.

...

Color me surprised, it seems like Seath wasn't a complete retard. Yes, his morals department was completely bankrupt but it seemed like that was because the intelligence department stole all of its funding. His notes were clear concise, and most of all enlightening.

All of the theories he had gathered over the hundreds, if not thousands of years he had lived culminated was this. And I was completely enthralled by the book. This thing was basically the key to the most primal forces of the universe.

Reading this book also made me realize something.

How stupid am I?

How did I not realize this before? I know now what magic truly is. Or rather what magic represents and what it makes up. And how and why it works The source of this content nov(el)bi((n))

Pyromancy is life.

Seath's sorcery is Soul.

Necromancy is death.

They all embody concepts of the world. They are twisting the law of the world through logic and formula to actualize phenomena.

Then what are the Oolacile sorceries?

...That's it!

Light is time!

That's why as the first flame fades that time goes along with it! It is literally time itself nearing its end, this convoluting the timeline.

It is also how Oolacile magic {repair} fixes equipment. Light is time and reversing the time of an object will fix it. Light magic is time magic.

So then what is dark magic?

Light and dark are the two sides of the same coin in Lordran.

Dark magic is heavy, physical, and powerful. Unlike other sorceries it is material, and solid.

It is the manipulation of space and humanity.

That explains how manus was able to rip a hole through space-time to reach the chosen undead.

Narrowing it down further I reached another conclusion. Actual magic and what it is based on fundamentally.

The true sorceries embody the 4 lord souls.

Izalith, her soul of life. Pyromancy, Fire/Life Magic.

As for the trouble I left behind? Well, that's future John's problem now. It's got nothing to do with me, the immediate John!

Surely not addressing the situation now won't blow up in my face later! *Wink*

But going around here there really wasn't anything left that was of interest to me. And the jumbo skeletons were as dangerous to me as a bug to a human. My league is so far apart from common enemies it is ridiculous.

Although I don't talk about it much, I am no longer a normal undead at this point. I have most likely become a god or lord. I am far more attuned to souls and energy. But I'm not completely there yet.

I would say I'm a demi lord currently.

I definitely have the soul of a god and the powers of one but my vessel isn't really good enough to use them at their full potential. I really needed to break my physical limits for the challenges to come. Regardless my stats were high enough to throw down with the ravelord.

On the way, I just encountered one problem. Not a problem per se but something very disturbing.

Baby skeletons. I always thought they looked goofy and funny in-game.

But in real life, the realization sank in.

This is the reanimated corpse of a real baby. There are over a dozen of these here.

Some sick FUCK decided to take a mother's child that died prematurely and turn them into undead servants. Just the thought of it sent searing rage down my spine.

It may have not affected me deeply but it still made me want to commit a very large amount of murder. So I ripped apart anything in my path and made it to Nito himself. I jumped down into the pitch-black arena. I could see perfectly in his domain.

A domain much larger and more intimidating than the one in the game. Filled with dozens to hundreds of skeletons. All of whose gazes locked onto mine the moment I dropped. And the overwhelming pressure I once felt started weighing down on me again.

An actual god.

Not the mutated farcry of one.

Not the shattered remains of one.

A full-fledged, albeit weakened, god that rules over death itself. And came about a feeling I hadn't felt in a while.

'He is stronger than me.'

This may not be as easy as I thou-

*BOOOOOM!*

Before I could finish my thought, a crimson phantom blade rose from the ground and uppercutted me. Sending me flying up before landing onto the solid ground with a heavy thud, after which skeletons piled up on me. I grinned.

'{Soul Release}'

*BOOOOOM!*

An explosion of black and white happened, sending the skeletons flying back as I emerged and cracked my neck, black and white aura surging off of me as Nito approached me.

"Let's go big guy!"
