Chapter 70: Training
'Unless Scarlet Eyes are active? Does this mean my efficiency will change with the Scarlet Eyes active?'
Isaac stared at his Status window as the surrounding students in Group One listened to Xavier's lecture.
Isaac still didn't know everything about the full capabilities of the Scarlet Eyes, and he didn't exactly have a manual for it.
"That will be all for today's lesson. Before any of you leave, take a single one of these books on your way out. I expect you all to be able to perform at least one of these techniques by the next class."
Xavier smiled as he pointed to a stack of eight books on the table.
Isaac did as he was told, grabbing one on his way out and taking a quick glance at the students in Group two.
They had long since left the auditorium, dropping from execution after a few minutes of keeping their Ren activated, meaning Group one and Xavier were all that were left.
This was what Isaac wanted, as he waited for everyone to leave, flipping open the book and reading the short title as he did.
"Advanced Nen Techniques." Isaac read the title, familiarising himself with the four techniques in the book.
Firstly, was the "Shu" techniques.
"Shu allows a Nen user to infuse objects with Nen, increasing the objects durability and effectiveness. That's pretty cool, I wish I knew this when using my dagger in Ravenwood."
Although Isaac was a Hand-to-Hand combatant, and would rarely use this Technique, he didn't find it too important, putting it aside for now.
'I'll learn the most important first.'
Moving on, he came across the technique "In".
And upon reading the description for this technique, Isaac gave a satisfied nod as he smiled
"'In' is an advanced application of Zetsu. It allows a Nen user to hide their Aura, however, unlike Zetsu, it does not require one to stop their Aura flow, but hides it instead. Meaning one can use their Nen freely in this state."
Isaac didn't mind using Zetsu, actually finding some comfort in it since he'd been using Zetsu ever since the Dark Continent.
Additionally, being defenceless was less of a worry to his seeing as how he was Immortal.
Despite this, he found 'In' to be rather convenient. He did find it rather troubling he could use Nen whilst in Zetsu or as a Ghost with Ghost's Passage.
As Isaac moved on, he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow as he noticed the last two techniques.
One being 'Gyo'.
"An advanced application of Ren that allows one to focus a majority of their Aura to a single point. Usually the eyes."
The reason Isaac was surprised after noticing this technique, is because he'd used it before.
In Ravenwood, while fighting the Juggernaut after he'd activated his Scarlet Eyes.
Isaac remembered delivering a devastating blow after focusing all his Aura into his fist.
Although, contrary to this technique, where one would use a majority of their Ren and typically for their eyes, Isaac remembered chanelling every single drop of Aura into his fist.
Therefore, it was clear the two techniques weren't the exact same.
And finally, staring at the last technique, Isaac felt a sense of Dejavu.
"'En'. A combination of the basic techniques Ren and Ten, one can expand their aura and create a radius around themselves, detecting anything that enters their Aura."
This too was something Isaac was already familiar with.
En was what he used to keep up with the Juggernaut's teleporting.
Although he didn't know what he was doing at the time, seeing as it simply came to him with his high level of Nen Proficiency, he's never been able to perform it again.
'Well, until now.'
The day was finally over. Classes had ended and Isaac could finally have time for himself.
He was set back in his progress, but it was time to level up.
'But before that...'
Noticing he was alone in the auditorium, he walked toward the corner, sitting while facing the wall.
As he did, he calmed himself.
He thought about everything that had happened today.
With the Excursion coming up, and everything with Oliver, it would he an understatement to say Isaac was stressed.
Stress at how he'd handle the events of the excursion while knowing nothing.
The stress of knowing his best friend might die.
The stress of his insufficient strength.
He focused on this stress, embracing it and he let it rise.
As he did, he snapped his eyes open as the colour had changed into a beautiful Scarlet.
'Good, now relax. Don't let the emotions consume you. Use it like a tool.'
Isaac took a deep breath, controlling his now overwhelming and powerful Aura, so as not to alert anyone.
'Status.'

It wasn't long until his expression and Aura switched, making him seem as though he was a completely different person.
His eyes were now sharp, like a dark void exuding a cold demeanour.
In a matter if seconds, the previous timid and down Zach had disappeared, replaced with someone unrecognisable.
As he walked, he paused, looking down to his swatch as he pressed on it a few times, soon a message appearing on it.

Isaac walked into a large hall with a sleek and futuristic like architecture.
With the silver floor, walls and ceiling with blue lines running across it enshrouding everything, countless students could be seen.
Turning his head, Isaac analysed his surroundings.
He found one section of the facility to be training dummies. One could customise the setting, making them idle, dodge and even fight back.
Another section were gravity rooms.
There was even an Instructor going around and helping those in need.
Though, he couldn't spot any of the Golden Six, seeing as they had personalised training rooms in their dorms.
Isaac would have liked it if the place was less crowded, however, he mostly came for curiosity, and needed an open space to train.
Quickly finding it, he took a seat with his back on the wall.
Taking a deep breath and closing his eyes, Isaac cleared his mind.
'The First Gate: Gate if Opening.'
This was the first Gate Isaac had read about from the manual.
After reading the manual, Isaac had uncovered more on the Eight Gates.
Firstly, he was indeed right. These 'Gates' were simply the pressure points on a human body.
'I guess one of the reasons why this was never discovered is because Inheritors thought these Gates were accessible to those from the Naruto Verse.'
Like with PS, where one had to be from the respective world of the power, or have visited it in Isaac's case, Isaac's theory suggested there was a misconception amongst Inheritors where these gates were thought to come with chakra.
However, Isaac had proved this was wrong.
Amongst these pressure point, Eight of them, two in the brain, five on the spine and one in the heart, were blocked, acting as a sort of 'Limiters' for the body.
Isaac had an easy time understanding this because it was true. The human body was incredibly strong, yet limited itself to not injure or overdo it.
'It's the same reason why mothers can lift cars off their children. I guess those mothers have a unlocked a few gates for themselves.'
Isaac joked, but quickly regained his focus.
Although this was true, it wasn't all when it came to the Eight Gates.
There was one factor that hadn't been considered yet.
That was the role chakra played in all this.
Yes, the gates were limiters for the body, but they specifically limited how much Chakra was interacting with the human body, that being only 20%, with each gate infusing 10% more into the body.
But if this was the case for Chakra, why couldn't it be the case with Nen? After all, they were fairly similar.
'Well, why don't we find out?'
The first being the Gate of Opening, located in the left hemisphere of the brain.
With this thought, Isaac focused on the pool of Nen inside him.
Controlling it, he channeled the Nen through his body, upwards as it passed his torso, then neck, until finally it reached the left side of his brain.
'There are a few pressure in the left hemisphere of the brain, and theoretically, there should be one which is 'Blocked''
Running his Nen through every pressure point, as it felt quite peculiar to do so, he completed this is a few seconds.
The result?
A single point of blockage. One so insignificant that it was barely noticeable to Isaac who was actively searching.
This was the First Gate.
From here, Isaac tried to control his excitement as he felt his lips curl upwards.
"Ew, what's wrong with him?"
"Why is he grinning like that while his eyes are closed?"
"Gross, pervert."
A few students close to Isaac whispered while moving away from him.
But he didn't care.
This was it.
Pushing as much Nen as he could into that blockage, Isaac pushed onto it, using his Nen to breakthrough the blockage.
He pushed, ignoring the resistance and pressure.
As his Nen focused on that single point as it pushed with all its power until...
