"What is wrong? The week is about to be over but it doesn't seem like you have made any progress in finding the people mentioned in our bet. Would you lose this bet after all?"
Aurora teased the administrator while watching the other female walk around her cell in frustration. She was having fun so Aurora saw no need to change her behavior.
It was not like she would be killed off even if she managed to piss off the administrator. So there was no need for her to fear anything.
Besides, there was nothing for Aurora to do now, so she was also bored. She needed to entertain herself or her mind would start to wander.
"Shit. Don't you dare make fun of me like this? I will win this bet in the end. Just you wait and see…"
The administrator was not sulking but it was a near thing. Her rising temper was making the floor unstable for its occupants. A lot of spaces had already broken off due to her ire.
But the administrator seemed to not care about the harm she was causing. She was much closer to the 'gods' that children read about in story books - uncaring and dominating.
"You should be careful or your people would betray you. Fear cannot keep its hold forever."
Aurora was speaking from experience. Even the tower had ended up falling in this life and its dominance had been non-challenged. The administrator did not hold any candle when it came to the sheer vastness of influence.
Moreover, there was an attitude problem with the administrator. She behaved too much like a child that needed to get her way.
Even her way of management could not hold and the only reason this floor had not collapsed was that the normal people were trying hard to maintain it.
"Ah, another industry collapsed. Are you sure you can afford to lose any more power sources?"
Aurora asked, now a little concerned. The resistance was the one supposed to bring this administrator down but it seemed like she would self-destruct way before that time came.
"Why are you worried about me? Also, these peasants are capable of handling this much brute force. It will not be their first time cleaning up my mess. That is the least they could do in exchange for my protection."
This was what Aurora meant by 'being like a child.' The administrator was too ignorant of what was going on around this place.
"Worried? I guess I am concerned about my plans falling through."
Aurora whispered those words as she looked outside the window. Another day had come to an end and now it was finally time for the rebellion. The dawn of the next day would see the city change a lot.
And not only that, but the end of Aurora's journey was fast approaching as well.
She had read the details Quince had sent her and it had been difficult to swallow at first. There was too much information Aurora had gotten that had shocked her.
But the sooner she had come to terms with it, the more she realized that knew these things.
As someone who had traveled to almost 50 abyss floors without any end in sight, Aurora realized that there was an alternate end to this abyss. And the room she had seen at the end of her previous life had seemed nothing like the abyss as well.
Soon, Aurora would go back to where it had all ended for her last time and where things had begun for her in this cycle. And this curse of the abyss will hopefully end for everyone.
'Clove, is that what you want? For everything to be over? Will you revert to who you were once you are finished with your mission?'
No one answered Aurora and all she could do was wait for her answers to appear. And they will appear once she goes to the end room.

"It is finally time. Our target is the internal tower where the prisoners are being held. We need to free them while the other side tried to cut off the administrator's energy source."
The old leader was conveying his plan for the third time that morning. He wanted to come across as clear-cut as possible.
However, it was getting annoying to hear the same words again and again. Rita was yawning as she heard the old man talk.
And she was not the only one who had zoned out. Alexander had fallen asleep already but no one tried to wake him up.
Alexander had proven his might as a fighting legend in the past few days. He had even managed to defeat Rita and Quince combined. That made Alexander their main source of offense.
The other forces from the over-world had arrived a few hours ago as well. They were already spreading across the floor and taking up strategic positions around the town.
"...blah blah blah," Rita could not hold her yawn any longer and the old man looked right at her when he said the next words, "I will not keep you all waiting. Let's fight against the oppression."
"YEAH"
"LET'S GO"
PS: If you guys don’t read this on NovelB(i)N(.)cOm and read somewhere else, Ain will HWUNT u and KWILL you!
"TIME TO GO NOW"
People were too tense to bring the administrator down right now. Rita did understand why these people were so excited to be rid of their dominator.
"Let's get this rebellion over with and make it successful. Aurora is waiting for us."
Quince placed his hand on Rita's shoulder to wake her up. But Rita was aware enough to avoid him and look back at Quince with an annoyed expression.
"Stop touching me like that or I will get annoyed. I am in a killing mood so don't expect me to be merciful today."
Rita's eyes had a mad glare in them. There was an evil tint to her eyes as she called forth all the minions she had gathered until now.
Rita was reaching the end of her magical limit but she did not care. She would do her part right.

The early morning saw people of all shapes and sizes rushing outside of their homes. It was a busy day where everyone needed to head somewhere.
But unlike a normal day, today they all had a purpose. They would make it seem like everything was alright at the start but then they would cut off the administrator's wings right now.
Once that was done, they would begin their main breakthrough by redirecting the supply source.
All this time, the attackers kill off the distracted administrator. It was not a fool-proof plan but it would work out the best.
"Hurry up and liberate our people. I want the administrator to feel our wrath without her laundering anything over our heads."
The old leader commanded as Alexander broke free from the group. His work here was to get to the administrator's office and end her life.
He was sure he would be able to kill her once the power supply was gone. Rita was in charge of taking care of that aspect.
Quince and Ur were in the anti-magic management. Since they had the capability, they were sent off to take care of that side of the floor.
Anywhere people saw, all they could see was people rushing to their jobs. It was a normal day but the main players were being transported to their places.
Alexander knew it was time to start once the first power grid went off-line and then another.
The barrier holding up the imaginable place started to go down slowly and it was time for him to start. The barrier might be going down now but the administrator would notice that soon.
And once she did, she would take over control of this illusion. That was when she would be at her weakest and that would also be the time Alexander would be able to kill her off.
He was halfway through the town already when the barrier began to reform itself. Along with that, an earthquake shook the ground. Alexander managed to retain his footing but it was scary to be in that position, to begin with.
Alexander was ready to move once again when he felt a strong energy source heading his way. He unconsciously dodged a familiar-looking weapon.
The speak that had embedded itself into the ground in front of him shook before rushing back toward its owner. The illusion around Alexander also changed as it shook. The city from before was being converted into the Rocx valley he was familiar with.
"Hello, my prey. It is fancy meeting you again like this. Did you miss me as well?"
Lady Asami landed down on the ground in front of Alexander, her eyes shining with humor but also sadness.
She seemed glad to see Alexnder again but he did not feel the same for her.
"I cannot say that the feeling is mutual. I am afraid that I do not have enough time to greet you. I am in quite a hurry."
Alexander yelled back as he threw an explosive toward the goddess. She managed to dodge it but the smoke caused her to feel faint.
The smoke contained anti-magic properties and it seemed to be working on Asami as well.
