Shen Tiantian was amused by her ‘bold and cunning’ expression. Her fair hand twirled around her belly, “Forget it, she doesn’t know I’m pregnant, and she has already apologized to me, and even lost her job.”

“Do you think I went too far?”

“No.” From the baby’s perspective, Shan Yi did nothing wrong. From her perspective, “I just feel sorry for her.”

Shan Yi’s gaze fell on her belly. The buttons had somehow come undone, revealing a clear curve. She reached out to touch it, then looked at Shen Tiantian with a serious and earnest expression. “I don’t want to see today’s scene again.”

Knowing that her wife was concerned about her, Shen Tiantian felt a warm sensation in her heart.

“So, what should I do?” She couldn’t let her wife support her, could she?

Shan Yi took advantage of the situation, “It’s best to do nothing, stay with me every day, and let the baby in your belly be born safely.”

“So, the CEO wants to keep me captive?” Shen Tiantian said coldly.

Shan Yi immediately refuted: “How can you call it keeping captive? Don’t forget, we’re legally married. Taking care of my beautiful wife, how does that turn into captivity?”

“Besides, in a while, we’ll have a wedding ceremony. Your belly is getting bigger, and if you don’t take care of yourself, how will you have the energy to give birth? After the baby is born, you’ll need to breastfeed. Babies breastfeed for at least eight months. By then, do you think you’ll have the energy to go to work?”

Shen Tiantian listened with a dazed expression, suddenly feeling that her wife made a lot of sense. The baby was almost four months old now, and in another four or five months, it would be time for the baby to be born. So far, they hadn’t made any preparations.

“Ok.”

Shen Tiantian nodded and sent a message to Manager Tian. After copying it, she forwarded it to Lu Xiaochun, then quietly waited for a reply.

Tian Jing was in a meeting when her phone suddenly vibrated, and the screen lit up. She glanced at it distractedly and continued with the meeting. The message was from Shen Tiantian, expressing a desire to invite her to Four Seasons Hall for lunch.

Tian Jing was surprised by Shen Tiantian’s friendly gesture. She was the first in the company to know about Shen Tiantian and Shan Yi’s relationship. After about ten minutes of the group meeting, Tian Jing announced its adjournment. She packed her things, returned to her office, and had just sat down when Shen Tiantian sent another message.

Since the incident in the break room, Shen Tiantian hadn’t left the CEO’s office. She sat with her legs crossed on the sofa, playing with her phone, watching parenting videos, and waiting for Tian Jing’s reply.

“Manager Tian and Xiao Chun both agreed!” Shen Tiantian suddenly exclaimed with excitement.

Shan Yi, who was working with her head down, heard her words, shook her head helplessly, and then refocused on her work. It was just a meal, was there a need to be so happy?

Shen Tiantian didn’t know what her wife was thinking and happily replied to the messages.

Having rested with her wife for over half a month, many important documents had been handled by Shan Xu, but Shan Yi still had a pile of work to do. “Yeah. What did they say?”

“What about Manager Tian?”

Shan Yi said: “Tell her to mention my name.” 

“Okay.” Shen Tiantian responded and put on the flat shoes that Shan Yi bought for her. “I’ll freshen up.”

Shan Yi helped her tidy up her hair. “Let’s go; I’ll accompany you.”

“Okay.”

As soon as they opened the door, colleagues who usually left on time were still in the office. When they saw her coming out, they all immediately looked at her.

Assistant Yang, who had hardly entered Shan Yi’s office in the morning, was already packing up. Seeing them come out, she politely nodded and walked out.

Shen Tiantian quickly caught up and, using a volume only the two of them could hear, asked: “Assistant Yang, do you want to join us for a meal? I might not be coming to work starting tomorrow.”

Yang Li hesitated for a moment, then nodded, “Sure.”
