Chapter 1523 Trying To Gather Information
Grey didn't let the man take the lead, rather, he quickly placed him under his control before taking the lead. He descended down the steps, and Klaus and Kyle followed behind him.
They walked for a while before finally getting to the ground. They were met with what looked like an altar in an open space. In the middle of the altar, they saw the spiraling portal. They had all seen portals before and knew how it was. But this one looked a bit different, if one looked close enough, they could see what's on the other end of the portal.
Grey couldn't help but chuckle.
"Amusing."
He walked close to it and sent his senses into the portal, since there's a way to see what's happening there, he felt there's also a possibility that his consciousness would be able to pass through and observe clearly what was on the other end.
He did this as cautiously as he could, and when his consciousness got to the other end, just like his thoughts, he could send his consciousness to the other side. He observed the place, but found no one in sight. This place was the same as where they currently were.
After giving it some thoughts, Grey decided to withdraw. He didn't want to make any hasty decisions. And a simple mistake would sabotage this golden opportunity that was before them.
Before leaving, he caught sight of an insignia. After memorizing what was drawn on it, he left the place. He would use this insignia to locate this place with the help of the Seventh Prince, and take the opportunity to create a good chance for them to sneak into the Gnome world.
He looked at the portal and said, "Let's go."
The trio left the underground cave and went to the man's manor. It was big enough, so they opted to stay there for the night.
The next morning, Kyle felt it was best he headed back. Thanks to Klaus and Grey he has not only grown massively, but his chances of getting to the Sovereign Plane has greatly increased. He didn't know how to thank the duo, and even when he tried to, they pushed it away, after all, they were friends.
Kyle felt gratitude that he made friends with people like these. After saying his goodbyes, he left the place.
Grey and Klaus opted to stay there. Grey wanted to study the array, while Klaus wanted to enjoy the meal from the Inn. Klaus and Void, to be precise. Grey didn't have any issues with eating the delicious meal occasionally, so he was very fine with this.
As he was studying the array, he called for the bunny leader, he had a very important mission for it. Since there's a way to investigate what's on the other side of the portal, he wanted the help of the bunnies under the bunny leader's army. There is no way anyone would suspect an innocent bunny, and the bunny leader had all sorts of bunnies, there are some that were so little people would miss them.
Grey wanted to use one like this. The bunny would be used to gather information about where this portal was located and even the strength of those in the building. One has to know, although it looks safer using the Seventh Prince, there were a few things that might spoil that plan, and he was hoping to only start controlling the Prince more when he's inside the Gnome world.
They stayed there for over two weeks before the bunny leader arrived. In these past two weeks, Grey had been researching the array daily and he hadn't gotten anything from it.
Klaus and Void were living carefree lives, ordering food from the Inn as much as they could, even during the nights. The chefs have been working tirelessly for them these past weeks. And since they were Sovereigns, they could ensure they didn't get filled, which meant they could eat continuously for extended periods.
When the bunny leader finally arrived, Grey told it to bring out one of its smallest bunnies. The bunny leader already knew Grey wanted to sneak into the Gnome world, so he did as he was told.
The bunny it brought out was actually in the Seventh Rank, which was the Venerable Plane, and its size was astonishing. He could barely believe that it was in the Seventh Rank if not for the fact that he was seeing it with his eyes.
