Chapter 1582 A Little Too Good At It

The Second Prince watched the back view of the Seventh Prince and his entourage as they were escorted into one of the rooms in the Castle.

He didn't understand why the Seventh Prince was so adamant on starting a war. Even when he suggested a much more effective approach, the Seventh Prince brushed it aside, telling him the First Prince will naturally not agree to such a thing.

Malachi had been sent out without the knowledge of the Second or First Prince. They didn't know Malachi had been sowing seeds of discord within the two Kingdoms.

The next day came with news from the border, a small battle broke out and the people of the First Prince's kingdom wiped out an entire town, killing everyone present there.

When the Second Prince heard this, he felt unbridled rage. They've been having small clashes over the past few years, and even leading to war on a few occasions, but they've never massacred innocent people in those wars, only the armies were killed.

'How come this happened when he came here?'

The Second Prince was a very critical thinker, so he didn't react immediately, even though he was angered by what happened, he felt something didn't add up. The Seventh Prince came to him the previous day, and now the First Prince attacked his kingdom.

'Could they be working hand in hand?'

A lot of questions went through the head of the Second Prince, he didn't know what to believe, but he still called the Seventh Prince over to give him the news of the town being wiped out.

"Strange, does he know I'm here to ally with you?" The Seventh Prince asked with a frown.

Him leaving the Palace was no secret, but he didn't think the First Prince would be the one to strike first.

Grey thought about Malachi, and when he checked how things were on his end, his heart almost jumped out of his throat. Malachi was the one leading the group from the First Prince's army. It was as if he was a general there as they all listened to his command.

"Killing them will make it seem like we want to make sure this war happens." Klaus frowned.

"Have you learned nothing? We're going to poison them, and when the time comes, we kill them with just a simple action. They wouldn't even know they were poisoned with our essence." Grey explained.

Grey's intention was to head over to meet with Malachi and relay some information to him while gathering a few things for the Second Prince about the attackers and the reason for the attack. He already said they were going to gather information when he replied with the Seventh Prince, so he has to gather a little information, at least.

'Hopefully they could gather some valuable information before they get back.'

He started to use Malachi to ask around about the First Prince as the group rushed towards the border. On the way, they encountered a Second stage Sovereign Gnome who was rushing to the Silinks Castle and killed him. There was no one there, and killing a Sovereign from the Gnome would mean one lesser opponent for humans. If Grey is given the opportunity, he would kill every single one of the Sovereigns present, but since he knew that was impossible, his objective was different, kill as many as they can.

They soon got to the town that was wiped out and he couldn't help but feel disgust at the evil nature of Gnomes. Even to their own kind, they didn't show any mercy. But when he thought about how humans acted towards each other whenever there's a conflict of interest, he didn't think bad of this any longer. He couldn't say humans were worse, but they have done things he never thought was possible as long as it aligned with their interests.

A few armies were there, and seeing four Sovereigns approaching, a Sovereign from the army stepped out.

"You're from the Seventh Prince's faction, what are you doing here?" The man asked.

"Investigation. If your information is wide, you should know the Seventh Prince is with the Second Prince at the moment, and they sent us here to help deal with a few things." Grey explained.

"We know, we just don't like you people." The man replied.

"Neither do I, but we have no choice. If I wanted to come here unannounced, you'll never know I came here." Grey said with a cold expression.

The man looked at Grey's group and couldn't help but frown.
