Grey told Void how he sensed the fluidity of the gloves after putting elemental essence into it. He didn't waste anymore time as he took everything that was in the room. The gloves were the only things that interested him, but it didn't mean he had any plans of leaving the rest of the things there.
Good elemental weapons were quite rare in the Aurora Continent, he didn't mind distributing this one among his friends. He recalled Klaus having one sword that greatly increases his ice ability when using it.
After leaving the building, Grey continued exploring the place. He felt there must be a reason why he couldn't enter this place from the start, and he wanted to get to the bottom of it.
A few hours later.
Grey arrived at a large snow mountain.
"There's something good here." Void perked his eyes as he entered this mountain, he was a bit excited about what was in this mountain.
Grey knew Void only acted in this manner whenever the treasure was something that would be beneficial to him. Of course, if it's also shiny! Over the years, Void has been able to show more restraint when placed in front of shiny things due to having caused Grey a few troubles when they first met.
Thinking about the days Void would endanger their lives for a shiny item, he couldn't help but shake his head. Now those days feel like forever ago.
Grey landed on the foot of the mountain, a snow covered path. They slowly started ascending the mountain as they inspected it to see where the path leading to the treasure would be.
"Uh?" Grey raised a brow as he looked around and frowned, "Cats?"
He could sense something sneaking up on them, and given how it had hidden its presence, he could tell that it was a type of cat.
A nimble figure lunged at Grey from behind, aiming at his head.
Grey, who was already prepared for this, sidestepped to the side, dodging the lunging figure. He saw the figure properly as it passed by him, it was a Snow Leopard, its fur faded into the scenery that the moment it landed on the ground, it seemingly disappeared from Grey's eyes, but he could still somewhat sense its presence, however, he was clueless as to where it was located.
'This will be tricky.' This was the only thought in Grey's head as he checked the surroundings in search of the Snow Leopard which had disappeared.
Grey walked over to the Leopard and placed a palm on its head. The Leopard naturally wanted to fight back as it tried to bite Grey's hand, but a simple smack on the head forced the Leopard to drop its large head as Grey placed his hand firmly on the head of the Leopard.
The Leopard roared in pain a few seconds later. It was soon placed under Grey's mind control. Of course, getting the information was a bit difficult, but after placing it under his control, he noticed that he could sense something in the snow mountain. Whenever he placed anyone under his mind control, he shares a certain form of connection with them.
It's a one way thing and only he can sense this, so he wasn't worried anyone else would know about his secret.
"Oh, who would've thought I wouldn't need to do anything more." He chuckled and made the Leopard take control once again.
"Found it."
When the Leopard heard him say that word, he didn't know what happened after Grey placed his hand on its head, but it could tell that something was wrong. Unlike most people who had been placed under Grey's control, Grey didn't expect that a Snow Leopard would be the first to have any memory from moments before they were placed under his control.
"That's impossible. Only those from my tribe can sense it." The Leopard felt Grey was lying to it.
Grey didn't have the strength to explain to the Leopard, rather, he started walking in the direction of the treasure. He wasn't moving in the same direction any longer, rather, he started descending the mountain.
He had to give it to the Leopard, it has been attacking him nonstop, and even increased the time between each attack as they ascended the mountain that he firmly believed that the treasure was somewhere close to the top of the mountain, who would've thought that the treasure is actually hidden under the mountain and one can only access it from a secret opening there?
If Grey didn't have the connection with the Leopard, he would never have known. The fact that even Void didn't know the way to the treasure showed just how magical it was. The Leopard is indeed right, only those from its tribe can sense this place, and luckily, Grey didn't kill it from the start, if not, he would've wandered this place for a long period before he would find the treasure.
At the foot of the mountain, Grey walked to where he could strongly sense the aura of the opening, and under the shocked gaze of the Leopard which had been following them docilely, he entered through the opening.
"That's impossible! That's impossible!"
The Leopard couldn't contain its shock, this shouldn't be happening, how can a human sense something even other cats can't sense?
Even Snow Leopards from other regions won't be able to sense this treasure. The only reason they could is because they were born here and have assimilated a lot with it. This was the greatest treasure left behind by the Cat God, and now its whereabouts has been made known to a human.
"Human, you have no use for it, please, don't go in." The Leopard begged, but before it could even finish its statement, Grey's figure had already entered through the opening. The Leopard ran after Grey, hoping to stop him from taking their most sacred treasure.
