"Don't move."

Ming Zhu couldn't move and she tried to break free from his restraint in resistance. Her wrists most definitely had turned red from his grasp.

This action of hers seemed to have completely angered the man.

Zhao Zhi tightened his hold on her wrists as his knees pressed against the sides of her waist. He pursed his lips, remaining silent and wordless as he measured her expression. As he looked at the woman whose eyes turned red, the knot of his throat rolled up and down twice. Then, from his sore throat, a cold voice questioned with pressure: "What are you avoiding ?"

Chapter 7

(3.1)

Zhao Zhi's breath coldly sprinkled on Ming Zhu's neck. She had her eyelashes lowered and lightly trembling, her small face was that of a beauty, her attitude was weak and the sockets of her eyes, which contained imperceptible glowing water, made her pair of glass-colored eyes appear wet.

She silently clenched her fingers, her expression tense, and closed her eyes to avoid the pressuring gaze that was making her unable to breathe.

She still couldn't forget that cup of poisoned wine that he personally granted her.

When the pain was this extreme, that was what how it was.

The tip of Ming Zhu's nose as well as the area around her eyes was red. She sniffled, her voice very weak: "I didn't avoid."

In the room, the candle flames were extinguished and the light was dim. With only a few wisps of moonlight shining through the window, Ming Zhu could barely see his face and she also couldn't get a good look at his unfathomable expression. The only thing she could only feel was an invisible pressure.

Zhao Zhi's fingers employed a bit more strength to squeeze her chin, half-forcing her to her raise her face to face him. His voice was faint as he said: "You didn't avoid ?"

The man's voice had always sounded benevolent and kind, with little emotional ups and downs.

Ming Zhu was a little afraid of this expression of his, where under the calm surface hid a storm and where she could not feel whether Zhao Zhi was happy or angry. She looked away and said in a very small voice: "Yes, I'm just not feeling very well."

Zhao Zhi's face eased a little, and as he released her chin, he slowly arranged the loose strands of hair on both sides of her cheeks, with gentle movements, as he asked, "Where are you feeling uncomfortable?"

Ming Zhu swallowed her saliva and used a random lie to answer him, "I have a headache."

Zhao Zhi gently hummed, "Let's have a doctor come over tomorrow to take a look."

Ming Zhu lowered her eyelashes, "No need, it will be better after a night's sleep."

Zhao Zhi did not speak, the atmosphere had been cold all along. Ming Zhu knew it was useless for her to speak. The words he said, the decisions he made, could never be denied.

Ming Zhu regretted her words as soon she said them. She did not have a headache and when the doctor would come to the door to take her pulse, the lie she said tonight would be exposed.

Zhao Zhi's fingers on her waist slowly tightened and his fingertips untied her belt. He leaned over and lowered his head, the tip of his teeth nibbling on her soft earlobe as he asked in a low voice, "Why didn't you wait for me tonight?"

Ming Zhu's body shrank a little and she told a lie, "I was tired."

Zhao Zhi had already untied her belt, the sash became loose with a light tug of his fingers. As moist kisses flowed from the back of her neck to her collarbone, the tone he used to speak became lower and lower, and he said to her ear, "Wear that liuxian dress tomorrow."

(TL's note : that's the « immortal dress » she tried on earlier)

The man's icy breath was quite heavy and hit her on the face.

From Ming Zhu's pale and thin little face emerged a light layer of red, her voice was a little shaky, sounding like a mosquito as she replied, "Hmm."

Zhao Zhi stared at her face, his eyes growing more and more obscure and profound as he took her hands and placed them on his belt, ordering in her ear, "Untie it."

Ming Zhu knew what he wanted to do, she was a little reluctant and her hands shook several times before she successfully untied his belt.

The black belt was embroidered with patters of dragons and tigers, and the gold-woven lines felt cold to the touch.

Zhao Zhi's observation skills were very elaborate, any hints or signs couldn't escape his eyes, not to mention the obvious abnormalities that Ming Zhu displayed tonight.

She was not very good at acting, and resistance was written all over her tiny and pale little face.

Zhao Zhi silently stared at her for a long time, the girl's face was white and delicate, her drooping eyelashes were gently trembling, she looked pitiful and weak, like she could break with just a snap.

The corners of Zhao Zhi's mouth pursed into a slight arc and he kept staring quietly at her face for a long time.

He did quite like this face of hers, although her body and mind were a bit delicate, but in the end she was always docile and obedient. Every time she looked at him with these red, pitiful and innocent eyes, what she provoked in him wasn't sympathy, on the contrary, she triggered his hidden desires.

The young girl was soft and vulnerable, when she was pleading, she appeared like she was acting coquettishly.

Suddenly, Zhao Zhi stroked her cheek with a chilly finger, his finger lightly touched her eyes and eyebrows before finally stopping on her mouth. He rubbed her lips with a not too light and not too heavy strength, "Open your mouth."

The cold, emotionless voice haunted her heavily.

Ming Zhu, shivering, opened her lips.

The man's kiss seemed to carry a cold chill, it was cold and uncompromising, strong and not leaving her any room for retreat.

Zhao Zhi's kiss made her out of breath, and her small white-like-paper face gradually turned red all over, and before she could say any words of rejection, she was silenced by his kiss.
