As the morning daylight brightened, Biying pushed open all the windows in the room in order to bring fresh air into the room.

Miss Ming Zhu was sitting on the edge of the bed, motionless. Traces of tears were still visible on her face and her gaze seemed to be fixated on the charcoal burner.

Biying cautiously walked over and asked, "Miss, are you feeling cold?"

Why did she keep staring at the charcoal burner?

Ming Zhu shook her head, "I'm not cold."

She lifted her eyes and said, "Fetch me some water, I want to wash my face."

Her face still seemed to be wet and it felt really uncomfortable. This morning, Zhao Zhi left after she angered him. After she said that sentence, he didn't say a word, his face was frost itself and she thought he would be raging with fury, but in the end, his face turned pale and he just left with a flick of his sleeves.

Ming Zhu immediately regretted saying those words right after they were said. She shouldn't have plucked the hair off of the tiger's head. Fortunately she was in the Ming residence, if she had been in the crown prince's other residence, it was unclear how things would have turned out this morning.

Biying quickly brought a basin of warm water into the room, Ming Zhu wiped her face with a wet handkerchief and rinsed her eyes for some more time before she started to feel better.

Her time was limited, she only had these short ten days.

Passed that time, she would have to go back to the crown prince's other residence and Ming Zhu didn't need to have a brain to know that she had absolutely almost no chances of ever escaping from there.

The people of the Ming residence wouldn't keep an eye on her at all time, not to mention care about she went.

Ming Zhu intentionally drove Biying away, telling her, "I want to eat some spring noodles, go to the kitchen and keep an eye on them while they cook a bowl of spring noodles for me, I don't want any green onions nor garlic."

"Yes."

Biying had barely left when Ming Zhu ordered Ah Rou to hurry out and make a trip to the pawn store.

The morning didn't end there. Ming Ru instructed her personal maid bring her a pile of dirty clothes, and she ordered her, just as she used to before, to do the laundry.

Ming Zhu laughed in anger, was she a soft bun? That anyone could pinch ?

She said, "Tell eldest sister, I'm not washing it."

The maid seemed to have guessed that she would say that, so she relayed Ming Ru's words, "Miss Ming Ru is also doing this for your own good, lest you get used to the good life, so that when you fall back to the bottom of the well and get back to living like in the old days, it won't be too much of a shock."

Although His Highness came over quietly last night, but he left with a cold face this morning.

The young lady Ming Zhu must definitely have offended His Highness. Her favor was already precarious and now it was even more so, she surely didn't have much of it left.

Ming Zhu didn't feel any pain nor itchiness in her heart, "Thank you for eldest sister's kind intentions, but she'd better do some thinking on how to handle the future crown princess first."

Xiangyang junzhu appeared innocent and sweet but it was all a facade. In reality, her level of ruthlessness was no less than Zhao Zhi's. The junzhu hadn't yet married into the crown prince's residence, that already she couldn't tolerate her who couldn't marry him, and in the future she also may not be able to tolerate Ming Ru.

Besides...

Ming Zhu figured that Xiangyang junzhu was most definitely the woman Zhao Zhi loved. After all, just to make sure that the junzhu would marry him without any embarrassment and hindrance, he personally gave the order to eliminate the bed-warming tool that she was.

The maid was dumbfounded by her retort, left the dirty clothes behind and left with disgust.

Biying, who came back from the kitchen, became furious when she saw the pile of clothes, "They're going too far with their bullying !"

What kind of life did miss Ming Zhu used to live before ? Like a persimmon, people would always pick on the softest one. She was bullied by people and had no one to care for her.

Ming Zhu said, "Don't get angry, just throw away her clothes and that's it."

Biying fiercely threw away her clothes, "Even the crown prince doesn't have the heart to make you work, how dare they?"

When Ming Zhu heard her mention Zhao Zhi, the smile at the corners of her mouth slowly retracted, she was unable to keep on smiling.

She lowered her head to eat the noodles. Just after she finished putting down her chopsticks, Ah Rou came back from her trip outside. She was frowning and her eyes appeared a little gloomy.

Ming Zhu waited until Biying wasn't there to ask her, "What happened ?"

Ah Ruo said, "He wouldn't accept the jewelry, the shopkeeper said I looked like a maid from a big clan who had stolen from their master and ran away, he said who knows whether or not the precious jewelry in my hands are stolen goods, so he wouldn't take them."

An experienced person like the shopkeeper was quite knowledgeable, he saw a lot of people and experienced a lot of things, so he only needed to take one glance to know what kind of person he was dealing with.

Ah Rou stamped her foot hard as she said, "I almost got into a fight with him, it really pissed me off."

Ming Zhu told her to stay calm and not to worry, but how could Ah Ruo not be anxious ? She badly wanted to free the young lady from her misery as soon as possible, "Miss, what do we do now?"

Ming Zhu frowned and thought for a moment, "Perhaps I should make a trip there myself."
