The door of the room which had been decrepit for a long time was easily pushed open with just a little force.
Ming Zhu was standing in front of him, bewildered, wearing a simple dress, her complexion was pale and she was trembling all over.
Zhao Zhi coldly told the men behind him to scram.
Ming Zhu seemed completely unable to move as she stood in place, frozen and stunned. Zhao Zhi grasped her wrist with force and dragged her in front of him, “Did you have enough fun ?”
Chapter 61
(20.7)
Ming Zhu’s tears started falling in that same moment.
Zhao Zhi’s facial expression looked startled. A few seconds later, he reached his hand out and touched her eyes, before slowly saying, “Keep your tears, don’t try to deceive me again.”
He added, “Besides, it’s not yet time for you to cry.”
All the methods that Zhao Zhi thought of on the way here, he didn’t use these on her yet, but already she was starting to cry ?
Ming Zhu suddenly started to struggle. She no longer wanted to be a weak and powerless person, she said, “I don’t love you, let me go.”
Zhao Zhi stared at her coldly, grabbing her by the waist, he asked compellingly, “Where do you want to go?”
Ming Zhu didn’t say anything else, she just glared at him with red eyes.
Zhao Zhi was now enraged, grabbing her chin, “I’ll be blunt with you, if you dare to run away with another man, I’ll kill him and hang his corpse in front of you, you can try it if you don’t believe me.”
Ming Zhu had rarely seen him being like this, his whole body was filled with violence.
She still wanted to struggle and Zhao Zhi struck her at the back of her neck with a palm chop, directly knocking her out.
Zhao Zhi covered her with his own outer robe and carried in his arms the unconscious person down the stairs, “Let’s return to the capital.”
The carriage stopped directly outside of the crown prince’s residence.
This residence was as heavily guarded as the other residence.
Ming Zhu was much more lovely when she was asleep, she looked peaceful, without crying nor making a fuss. He put her on the bed and, seeing that the door and windows were all opened, he suddenly got furious out of nowhere. He ordered with a cold face, “Get people over here and have them seal the windows down with nails.”
“Yes.”
Those were the crown prince’s orders, servants below could only follow them as instructed.
Not long after, the intendant in charge of the residence brought servants along to seal the windows of the room with nails and wooden boards.
Ming Zhu had many fragmented dreams and she woke up feeling dizzy. There wasn’t any light inside the room she was in. Sitting up, she found out that both of her hands were tied up with a red rope.
Ming Zhu looked around the room which felt both unfamiliar and familiar to her.
She had never been here, but it seemed like she had seen it in a dream.
Suddenly, the door of the room was pushed open by someone. The man slowly walked in, with the cold moonlight on his back, he didn’t light the lantern and his jade-like face wasn’t illuminated by the light, which was on his back, “You’re awake?”
“Where is this?”
“The crown prince’s residence.”
Ming Zhu’s heart suddenly sank, she looked down and saw that her clothes had also been changed.
By the looks of it, it was most definitely Zhao Zhi himself who had changed her clothes.
This time, Ming Zhu was caught back from her attempt to escape after just two days, she felt dejected and frustrated, but right now she wasn’t feeling much fear. If he was angry with her and from now on didn’t come find her anymore, wasn’t it a good thing ?
Ming Zhu held up her hands in front of his eyes, “Untie me.”
Zhao Zhi was acting as if he didn’t hear her.
Ming Zhu lowered her face, “I’m not your pet.”
Zhao Zhi carelessly hummed and, holding her wrist, stared at the red rope tied tightly above. He revealed a light smile: “You don’t like it?”
“No one would like it.”
He caressed her face, “But l have no other choice.”
Then Zhao Zhi rolled up her trousers to take a look at the wounds on her knees. The bruises and red marks had not yet completely faded. Silently picking up the ointment, he started to apply the medicine.
Ming Zhu did not think that such a big matter would be easily overlooked by Zhao Zhi, but he was actually acting particularly calm.
After applying the medicine, Zhao Zhi lifted his head again and said to her, “I don’t wish to threaten you, but if there is a next time, you shouldn’t blame me for sacrificing innocent people’s lives.”
One sentence, said in a light manner.
Weighing down heavily on her shoulders.
Ming Zhu sniffled through her red nose, feeling a bit hopeless. She had no way to escape, her fate was also in his hands, right now she could only take one step at a time and see.
She bowed her head, without saying a word.
Zhao Zhi sighed as if he was very helpless, looking at her, his tone was strangely gentle and yet it made people frightened, “Zhu Zhu, do I have to take a chain and shackle you up for you to finally comply ?”

It was already dark outside, a few candles were illuminating the room a little.
Ming Zhu’s face was gently lowered as her long waterfall-like hair fell carelessly on both sides of her face. The room was so quiet that no sound could be heard, she slowly clenched her fist, took a deep breath, and said, “The way I was living before, was it any different from being shackled up ?”
Ming Zhu was originally still feeling a little anxious and scared, but after spilling these words, she instead felt calmer.
She was a kite in his hand, whose string, short or long, were held in his hands, given to him for him to find pleasure and relieve his boredom.
There was no difference between a small courtyard in a corner and that room.
Zhao Zhi remained silent for a while before he untied the red rope tied to her wrists. Her skin was delicate, thus her slender and white wrists were left with two obvious red marks.
As soon as Ming Zhu’s hands were freed, her body shrank towards one corner of the bed, her entire body posture was on the defensive.
At this moment, Zhao Zhi was still angry, he was already exerting immense patience to be able to speak with her so gently and kindly. Seeing her evasive movements, he didn’t say anything and the corners of his lips just curved into a cold smile, “Then, Zhu Zhu, do you want to try it?”
