This single call brought Lin Qingyan’s wandering mind back. He hurriedly looked away and shifted his gaze to the green potted plant in the corner. He pursed his lips and whispered, “I don’t know what you are talking about.”

But he knew that the base of his ears must be very red now. It must be because it was too hot here and he was sweating, so he changed the subject stiffly: “It’s so hot here, let’s go out first.”

Gu Fei still looked at him, “Answer me, what are you afraid of?” His deep and calm eyes were like an ocean, as if they could penetrate the surface and see into the depths of the young man’s heart..
