“Stop crying.” As the tears wet his skin, Yu Le couldn’t help but want to raise his hand to wipe away the tears for Zhu Luo.

As a result, as soon as he stretched out his hand, the door to the villa slammed open with a loud noise resounding through the house.

Yu Yuozhi, in dishevelled clothes, appeared in its frame.

He looked anxious, his hair was tousled, and his face flushed from running wildly. It was even possible to hear his gasps for breath as he struggled to catch it.

Standing still, he scanned the room with his grey eyes and was relieved to see Yu Le sitting safely at the small table.

“Why are you here?” Yu Le quietly retracted his hand from Zhu Luo as he asked.

“The phone call you made me earlier sounded wrong.” The man stayed outside the door frame as he spoke heavily. He hadn’t been invited over and didn’t intend to come inside, unlike how rudely he had just barged into the house, “I was worried that you would be in trouble so I rushed over…weren’t you asking for help?”

Zhu Luo blinked and looked at him questioningly.

“…” Yu Le wasn’t sure how to explain, “I wasn’t trying to imply anything, I just wanted to ask a favour. But nothing happened, I’m safe now.”

Looking away silently, Zhu Luo’s face couldn’t look more guilty if he tried.

Smiling awkwardly, the more Yu Le tried to explain, the more it seemed he was making excuses.

Watching the interaction between the two, Zhu Luo felt bitter, “Yu Le, can I ask you one last question?”

Yu Le looked at him agreeingly.

“What is the relationship between you two?”

Hearing this, Yu Youzhi also looked at him eagerly, waiting expectantly for his answer.

Yu Le wasn’t sure, he thought back to the afternoon of his fever. He had been in a daze the entire day, and the first thing he saw upon waking up was Yu Youzhi. The man hadn’t asked him anything but touched his forehead with his cold hands, and patiently helped him take his temperature.

At that time, he had thought, maybe, just maybe, Yu Youzhi was not such a green tea after all.

Pondering over his words, Yu Le tried to answer honestly, “I’m just his fan…No, maybe I’m not even that.”

The real fan was Yu Beiman, he had just borrowed her identity to pretend and try to get close to Yu Youzhi.

“I’m sorry to have broken in and disturbed you, you two can continue your talk.” Hearing this answer, a trace of obvious loss flashed in Yu Youzhi’s eyes. He seemed to deliberately be trying to appear lonely, showing an empty expression, “Yu Le, I’ll wait for you outside the gate.”

Zhu Luo didn’t speak. It wasn’t until Yu Youzhi left that he spoke up hesitantly, “Yu Le, I have heard rumours about this star, Yu Youzhi. People say that he isn’t a good person, you’d better not get too involved with him…Forget it, I don’t have anything to do with you now. Do as you’d like.”

Yu Le’s face darkened, but he said nothing in response.

After that, they seemed to have formed a tacit understanding, and neither mentioned the original owner again.

Finally, before he left, Yu Le cast one last glance at the items laid out on the table.

“Zhu Luo, these are A Yu’s precious things. I’m sorry for throwing them out without permission.” His tone was as sincere as he could make it, trying to express his thoughts to Zhu Luo, “But these things don’t mean anything to me. Rather than having me bring them back, they are more suitable to be kept with you.” He paused, wanting to clear up any other misunderstandings before it was too late, “You don’t need to worry too much about other things. A Yu liked you so much, he didn’t want you to be involved in this mess.” Yu Le was referring to the second personality as he warned Zhu Luo not to get too close, “Goodbye Zhu Luo.”

He turned away and left without looking back.

As expected, Yu Youzhi was waiting right outside.

When Yu Le came out, the tall man was sitting on the side of the road, picking grass to fidget with nervously. Lines that would only appear in idol dramas were being murmured as he concentrated, “He likes me, he likes me not, he likes me, he likes me not…” The moment he saw Yu Le, he threw the grass away and stood up excitedly, “Yu Le, you’re back! What did you and the violinist talk about? Is he planning something evil against you? Yu Le, Yu Le, don’t ignore me!”

Yu Youzhi rambled on, persistently pestering him without any space for Yu Le to take a breath. Feeling a familiar irritation, Yu Le looked at him coldly, “Slow down, I’ll answer a few of your questions.”

“When I first came in, were you wiping his tears away?” Yu Youzhi looked at Yu Le seriously, without the annoying face he had on earlier, “Yu Le, do you feel sorry for him?”

He didn’t expect that this was what Yu Youzhi wanted to ask and rolled his eyes in exasperation, “Yes, I do feel sorry for him.” As he said this, he raised his hands to look at them, a serious look on his face, “But nine times out of ten, this is not an emotion that belongs to me…but to the original owner or the other personalities. Their emotions remain in this body and affect me as I use it.”

Yu Youzhi blinked, stopping in place and grabbing Yu Le’s hands tightly, “Yu Le, those sub personalities…are they still there?”

Though impatient from being pestered, Yu Le still told the man what he had just learnt from Zhu Luo.

After listening, Yu Youzhi sighed, “This world is really so magical. Yu Le, why did you drink that glass of water before you knew that there were no drugs in it?” Yu Youzhi seemed to be keenly aware of something as he asked, “Was it really as an apology?”

“What else would it be for?” He couldn’t help but question as he found Yu Youzhi staring at him with interest.

“Because it was never your fault for occupying his body, right? How should I put it?” The man rubbed his chin, searching for the right words, “I just feel that you aren’t the kind of person who would pay for a mistake that wasn’t your own fault.”

Hearing this, Yu Le nodded.

Yu Youzhi was right. He drank that glass of water not only to apologise but also for other considerations, “I wanted to see if I could meet that person in my dream again. The personality of the original owner hasn’t completely disappeared.” He began to recount his recent dreams to Yu Youzhi, “I’ve been seeing the same memory in my dreams recently, and last night someone strangled me and told me to leave the body. I think he’s doing so to try and seize control over the body, but if I disappear, he will definitely not be willing to take over a tattered body. So, even if Zhu Luo really did drug me, it must be something similar to sleeping pills. That person will only truly attack me in our shared consciousness.”

A magical look was on Yu Youzhi’s face as he stared at him, “But Yu Le, what if it wasn’t a sleeping pill?”

“Well, it was nothing anyway. But I really do need to find a way to meet him in my dreams again.”

“Isn’t this too dangerous?” Yu Youzhi frowned and stared at him with stern eyes, “Isn’t the world beautiful, why would you want to risk your life just to satisfy these speculations?”

Rolling his eyes, Yu Le met Yu Youzhi’s eyes, “I’m just an ordinary person, I want to live a normal life of my own. But it’s obvious that the person in these dreams is a threat to me. If he’s the original personality, it would only be fair for me to disappear, but if he isn’t, should I just wait to be strangled for no reason?” Yu Le was confused about why Yu Youzhi disagreed so harshly, “I just want to confirm who he is.”

“Yu Le, you always surprise me.” Yu Youzhi let out a long sigh, realising that he couldn’t change his thoughts, and compromised, “Just when I think I know you better, you always show me a new side that I would never have guessed existed.” He blinked and laughed, “Not only are you especially perverted, your thought process seems to have been damaged at some point in your life, and your stubborn streak is inexplicable. Your shortcomings seem to never end.”

Yu Le took a deep breath.

He pursed his lips, resisting the strong urge he had gained to hit someone.

Why, just why, is Yu Youzhi so annoying?!

But the man in front of him was oblivious to his tangled emotions, coming up to him with a playful smile, “Yu Le, if you plan to try something like this again, take me with you. Maybe I can help?”

No!

Stay away from me!

Leave me alone!

Yu Le was so angry that he wanted to scream.

His face was livid as he turned and left without saying a word.

But Yu Youzhi quickly caught up with him, “By the way, you did call me earlier asking for help, what did you want? What are you doing next?”

Huh?

Oh, yes, he called to ask a few questions about his fever, but he also wanted to ask Yu Youzhi for help finding someone.

Forget it.

Angry or not, Yu Youzhi was always an idiot.

Reciting the Heart-Cleansing Mantra in his mind, Yu Le turned back with a stiff expression, “Actually, I have been very confused with the chaotic memory the original owner left me. The time right before he disappeared, he seemed to have gone to see a doctor. I want to find him.”

“Hmm, finding someone. Brother Song is indeed the best at this kind of thing.” Yu Youzhi looked at Yu Le, blatantly showing his superiority over the either with a frivolous smile, “But Yu Le, if I help you this time, how are you going to thank me?”

The corners of Yu Le’s lips tightened.

“Don’t be so nervous, didn’t I already say that I want you to take me with you to see your interesting life?” Yu Youzhi was obviously in a good mood, “My requirements aren’t high, just call me “Brother” like you do on the internet.”

Yu Le didn’t even think about it for a second before leaving.

Forget it. It was just finding a doctor. Although it was a bit troublesome, he could do this kind of thing himself.

“Yu Le! Yu Le! Wait for me!” Yu Youzhi’s call came from behind, “Don’t leave, just take me with you! You only have to call me once! Once!”

With that said, he chased after him.

Hey everyone, sorry for the late chapter. I was driving home from college last night and completely forgot to post this. I hope you enjoy~
