The moment he was held by Jiang ChengLi, Shi Yu was sure that he had done this before. He sat on the edge of the bed. He looked down at the hands on his waist, and felt the weight of the alpha that was completely pressed against his back.

Jiang ChengLi’s eyes were slightly closed, as he wholeheartedly claimed the omega’s scent along the back of his neck. It was like he had taken the most potent sedative and seemed extraordinarily docile when he quieted down. He mumbled, “Thank you. I feel better.”

The omega’s hand moved slightly, fiddled with the tip of his ear and hesitated for a long time. Shi Yu softened his voice. “I picked up that sea glass the other night. Do you like it?”

Jiang ChengLi answered, “You gave it to me. I…”

Halfway through his answer, Jiang ChengLi’s voice faded out. He slowly released the hand that was wrapped around Shi Yu’s waist. He drew back a little, and found that Shi Yu didn’t look back at him.

“What? Not very hard?” Shi Yu turned his head back. His eyes remained unchanged. “Or didn’t expect me to find your original form so early?”

Jiang ChengLi’s lips twitched. He looked away and remained silent.

Shi Yu narrowed his eyes slightly, and observed Jiang ChengLi’s face. Although the flush still hung in the corners of his eyes, the vulnerability and shortness of breath just now were obviously gone.

It really was just an act.

“Jiang ChengLi, tell me honestly. What are you really? Are you tampering with my memory?” Shi Yu slowly stood up. His voice was calm, as if he only wanted an answer.

When he was around Jiang ChengLi, there were always many fragmented images that passed by, but going deeper into them was a blur. He was like a person who woke up in the morning. At the beginning, he could remember seven or eight percent of last night’s dream, but as time went by, when he recalled it, he wasn’t able to remember anything at all.

That kind of deviation in memory hadn’t allowed Shi Yu the ability to look deeper until the day he saw the video on Jiang ChengLi’s phone. Then he dared to guess that those images might have been real rather than his imaginary memories.

And by noon today, Jiang ChengLi’s eyes told him the answer.

If Jiang ChengLi was the little ice dragon, then all the strange things that happened to him wouldn’t seem strange.

Jiang ChengLi’s lips hooked slightly. It revealed a smile that didn’t quite look like a smile. “Shi Yu, do you blame me?”

Shi Yu stared warily at the person in front of him. He realized that he should continue to question, but when he saw Jiang ChengLi smile like that, his heart hurt a little.

Jiang ChengLi cautiously raised his hand and slowly curled his finger under Shi Yu’s eyes. He held it up to his face and rubbed it against the side of his face. “If I told you that you knew I was the little ice dragon a long time ago, but you just forgot. Would you believe me?”

Shi Yu stiffened as he tried to determine the truth of Jiang ChengLi’s words. “I knew a long time ago?”

“Yes.” Jiang ChengLi gently touched his fingertips. “At first, I thought it would be okay if you forgot. I would like you as always, and guard you until you liked me again one day. But I’m still in a hurry.”

Jiang ChengLi tilted his head to look at him. There were fireworks blooming in the sky outside the window, and the sea reflected the brilliant light and shadow that fell into his pupils. Shi Yu clearly watched the pure blue spread in the pupils of his eyes, revealing the cold original color. It was, indeed. as beautiful as the one he saw at noon.

“I found out that there were other alphas approaching you, but you didn’t want to rely on me. You know that creatures like dragons are petty. What is mine will always be mine, and no one else can covet it. I knew you liked dragons, so I quietly changed back to my original form.”

Shi Yu slowly looked up. He only just realized that Jiang ChengLi hadn’t appeared in front of him at the same time as the little ice dragon. From the first encounter at the music room, to later on when Jiang ChengLi deliberately revealed that he was the ‘owner,’ to later on when he sent him photos and updates…

Shi Yu suddenly laughed. “Then your acting skills are too good, switching so seamlessly.”

Jiang ChengLi dropped his hand and lowered his voice. “I knew you’d be angry, so I’m apologizing.”

Shi Yu slowly curbed the smile on his lips and asked, “What about the memories?”

Jiang ChengLi confessed, “If I said that once I had a contract with you, and this contract would have caused my life expectancy to be reduced, and after you knew about it, you and my mother found a way to get rid of the contract at the cost of your memory, would you believe me?”

After saying that, only silence spread in the large room.

Jiang ChengLi probably guessed that his confession would be exchanged for this result. After all, a normal person probably wouldn’t be able to accept such a fact. He had wanted to tell Shi Yu slowly after he had fallen in love with him, but he had really rushed it.

What if Shi Yu got angry and didn’t want to see him?

Jiang ChengLi’s eyes were drooping in distress, but the burning back of his neck and the restless desire in his body were driving him closer to the omega in front of him. On one side was the regret of the failure of the plan, the other side was the impulse of emotional stirring. No matter which, he couldn’t face Shi Yu now.

Jiang ChengLi looked up. He expected Shi Yu to leave, only to find that a hand was gently falling onto his hair. He looked up, slightly stunned, and saw that Shi Yu was standing in front of him, softly touching his forehead. “So what? You’re just going to explain in a few words the problem that’s been bothering me for so long?”

“Hmm?”

“I believe you, and I know you’re having a hard time.” Shi Yu’s lips pursed slightly, and he slowly parted his eyes. “But it’s not like I don’t have a heart. How you treated me. I still…I know.”

Jiang ChengLi hadn’t yet returned to his senses. Shi Yu sat beside him and looked at him sideways. “Now. Please tell me seriously. What happened to me? How did the two of us meet? Don’t hide it from me. Your credit value with me has dropped to the lowest.”

Jiang ChengLi lowered his eyes and smiled. He looked at the omega who was sitting at his side with a serious face, and suddenly felt that he was thinking too much.

Shi Yu was Shi Yu. Even if his memories of them never came back, he was still the same person he once liked. He could easily accept his differences and would never belittle his emotions.

“Okay, I’ll tell you everything.”

When Shi Yu observed the photos, Jiang ChengLi was leaning back in his chair, tired from his hospital visit. Shi Yu handed him a bottle of water. Jiang ChengLi thanked him quietly and moistened his throat.

“So, any more questions?” He tilted his head and looked at the omega at his side, his posture idle.

Before they went to the hospital, Shi Yu asked a lot of questions. Jiang ChengLi gave all the details of the two of them getting along, but the driver came so fast that Shi Yu only asked half of his words before they hurriedly set off for the hospital.

But Jiang ChengLi knew Shi Yu still had something to ask.

Shi Yu was silent for a moment, then said seriously, “So the video on your phone was taken when you were drunk from milk tea?”

Jiang ChengLi, “…”
