Chapter 2: At the end of the day its all about money.

Ji Bai stopped reminiscing about the past. After letting out a large yawn he rolled and got up from his bed. He then went to his bedside cabinet to take the top and trousers that he had neatly arranged last night.

Ji Bai had once been a very carefree and easy-going guy. If one was to exclude his bottom line and beliefs he was an elegant and freedom-loving guy who was unyielding and dissolute. If this was before those clothes would had never received such excellent treatment Let alone being tossed into the bedside cabinet they would be directly thrown on the floor and pick up the next day.

Yes his character was originally so at the beginning. But after going through a year that was the stuff of legends and epics a lot of habits that Ji Bai once had had already disappeared. Or rather the habits that he thought were cool and oozing off confidence had been torn off by its roots from the sadistic loli queens inhuman and ruthless teaching. Furthermore he had been forcefully implanted with a brand new set of habits that he had never used before A complete set of formal etiquettes for vampire nobilities.

She had to follow her familiar habits this morning as well. Ji Bai stretched out his tender wrist and opened the fridges door. He took out a rigid and frozen bread and a medical blood bag within it then went to the door and retrieved the newspaper wedged between the crack of the peephole. He then strode back to the living room with his slim small and white legs.

Sitting on the sofa with an elegant posture and facing the blood bag he closed his eyes and put his palms together the model example of eating etiquette. Only after a moment had passed did he slowly tore open the blood bag took out a straw and suck up his meal while looking at the newspaper.

As far as vampires unique eating habits was concerned Ji Bai had already gotten used to it over the past years. He was now capable of doing this without panicking and was treating the normally joyous occasion of sampling blood in a calm demeanor.

In actuality Ji Bai didnt need to change into his vampire form and have a vampire-like meal everyday. He was actually forced by circumstances. If he didnt take in blood once every five days he couldnt ensure that he wouldnt be driven crazy by the strong desire of fresh blood in his heart. It would cause him to directly forage for the easily noticeable blood-bags on the streets. Moreover the blood that Ji Bai drank had all gone through the proper channels and bought in the hospital. The problem of it harming humans was nonexistent.

It seems I dont have enough blood bags.Ji Bai couldnt help but knit his eyebrows while looking at the newspaper.

As the proverb goes a hero without money is no hero at all. Ever since the day Ji Bai had escaped from calamity his expenses had been going up instead of the reverse. Not only did he need to supply the energy required by his mortal body to function he also had to satisfy his vampiric desire for blood. This was indeed a tremendous challenge for his wallet. After deducting his rent and various expenses at present JI Bais pocket was almost empty. This couldnt help but made him feel a sense of anxiety.

If he had known about this while making his escape he would have brought some valuable vampire handiwork with him. Maybe he could treat it as some sort of spoil of wars and sell it for a good price allowing him to not worry about sustenance for his entire life at least But arent vampires immortal?
